UTV features - any of these available on 522?

I have just moved from UTV to 522.

1. on UTV, two presses of REC button would set up a timer even for weekly or daily (depending on the program schedule). Is it possible on 522?
2. Can I decide as to how many shows of each timer event it should keep. For example, if I am recording opening bell on CNBC, I would want to keep only one show - I would like it to be deleted automatically on the following day. This feature is available on UTV, Replay Tv (Sonicblue) and my guess is that even TIVO MIGHT have it (I don't know anything about Tivo). I am a bit surprised that this one does not have it - or does it?

Nope. Media Center Edition has better PVR features than Dish's-- namely record a series on one channel or all.... which basically is a season pass.
