TV2 issue

I use a 622 with another TV as the TV2. I know with the TV2 you don't get HD, but I want to be able to get my OTA locals on it. Is there a problem using an A/B switch to obtain this? Just run the antenna feed to one side and the sat signal to the other side. Switch back and forth when one signal is needed. Will there be any interference from one side or the other? Thanks

If tv2 has a digital tuner, all you need to do is split off OTA then use another splitter in reverse (works like a joiner) add tv2 out from 622, just make sure channel assigned for tv2 does not interfere with an OTA channel.

So a simple A/B switch would work? Two signals in, OTA and sat in, with a simple toggle switch. Back and forth as needed. Sure beats buying another reciever just for this.

Splitter in reverse works better as you don't have to toggle to switch over. Both signals can/will travel on same coax and there is no need to switch on/off to get it to work. It will cut down on those pesky trips to the switch.
