TRANSFER FROM HR24-500 TO GENIE

Hi guys. Thinking of upgrading HR 24-500 to Genie 44. Can the recorded programs on the Hr 24 be transferred to the 44? Thanks guys for your help,

Absolutely not.

If you want to keep them, have a Genie added to your account and go Whole home and you can see & watch from the Genie... (and vice versa)

If you go to the Genie you will have to pay the whole home fee, which when bundled with the hd and dvr fee, is $25/month. You might as well keep the HR24 for a few months anyway until you watch what's on it, then you can return it if you wish.

If you keep any other receivers on your account I'd echo the recommendation to send back a basic or HD only receiver and keep the HD-DVR. If you Genie ever fails you still have DVR capability easily and wouldn't miss a beat while waiting for a replacement.
