Time Warner Cable says the company has completed its "Maxx" broadband and TV upgrades in Charlotte and several other markets as the company's improvements march onward. Users in our Time Warner Cable forum have been tracking the status of the upgrades, which provide users with speeds up to 300 Mbps downstream, as well as dramatically improving the company's digital set top TV user guide.

According to Time Warner Cable, "company research shows" that customers tend to be happier in markets where the company has upgraded its network (go figure).

The company has confirmed that it just completed the upgrades in Charlotte, though our users note the improvements have also dropped in Raleigh/Durham and Dallas recently as well.

"Faster and more reliable Internet, more HD video and enhanced network reliability are just the beginning of the benefits our customers will enjoy from TWC Maxx," the company declared in a statement.

Pay for 50 now getting 300 Mbps downstream.
Had to get new modem to handle higher speed.
