The Mentalist

I have this feeling, that those guys who survived the explosion don´t really know who RJ is, I think RJ is far above their ranks in the organization, but then again I could be wrong.

I agree, but I'm having a major problem resolving that Lorelei Martins told Patrick he shook hands with him (Red John). Can Jane's list be incorrect?

I don't think so. I think they were getting together to overthrow RJ, so they wouldn't get caught.

I think Patrick´s list could be missing some name/names.
Another possibility is that the writers could even be making some adjustments, remember that article about Kirkland not originally scheduled to be killed in that episode ?

Anyway, I think this RJ case could be bigger than what Patrick thinks it is.

Well, however you slice it, this episode had a very unsatisfactory ending.
And from some of the above info, dropping two regular cast members doesn't bode well.
We are not amused.

There was on episode where Jane lost his memory and went back to his grifter ways, maybe he met RJ then and
couldn't add aother name to his list...

On the preview for next week you can see Jane talking to whom I would think was Red John (they didn't show his face). But you could hear that person speak back to Jane. Did anyone else hear and maybe recognize the voice?

Red John spoke to Jane in the same voice back in season 2. Of course, Jane was tied to a chair and RJ's face was covered. Other than that I do not recognize the voice.

Regarding the RJ's voice, I remember thinking that Brett Partridge would be a close match, and he was one of my top suspects. Okay, I'm convinced Bertram isn't RJ - he just doesn't fit the profile in too many ways. Assuming it's not Bertram, I would have to go back to my two top picks of Brett Partridge followed by Ray Haffner. Has anyone confirmed these two characters are really dead? Offhand, I recall Partridge was killed by RJ but I don't recall the specifics. Moreover, Cho confirmed the bodies found at Jane's house were Haffner, Stiles and McAllister.

However, if RJ was clever enough to plant a bomb in Jane's guest house then he is smart enough to have brought with him a spare body. And he is part of a network that can alter police records and DNA results least we forget. I have a feeling that RJ is coming back from the dead, so to speak. IMO, we can safely eliminate Kirkland, Smith and Stiles. Additionally, I don't believer JR can possibly be Bertram or McAllister. So that leaves us with Haffner and Patridge...and Haffner doesn't have a tattoo. So RJ is Partridge...even though his body looked quite dead a few episodes back. I'm so confused.

Haffner was my prime suspect until I found out he didn´t have the tattoo.

Ok, now who was the guy Cho went to check in the morgue for tattoo, only to find out that part of his skin was removed

That was the body of Brett Patridge which, by my estimate, would have been on ice at the morgue since September when he was killed by Red John. Kind of hard to image the family would not take immediate possession of the body. Perhaps he was one of the troubled youth back at the Visualize Ranch. The only problem with that theory is that Brett Patridge's bloodied corpse was the center of attention at a Red John crime scene back in September. How could he fake his death? Well, I guess he could have had an identical twin and they were separated at birth and/or adoption. Just speculating...

Haffner was my prime suspect until I found out he didn´t have the tattoo.

Right!
And i was suspicious we didn't see the face of that body, either.

I guess we shouldn´t discard then that Partridge may still be alive, this is getting so complicated, that now yes I´m open to believe he wasn´t really dead, I´d push it even further with Haffner, but he didn´t have the tattoo, and we didn´t really see what happened to him after the explosion.

I think that episode still left some room for speculation....

We'll find-out this Sunday night. Hey, remember the first Red John (obviously not the real RJ) that Jane shot down in the Season 3 Finale (Strawberries and Cream)? Did we ever find out how this guy was tied to Red John? He was certainly creepy and had the perfect voice for the part. I wonder if he had a tattoo on his left shoulder?

Strawberries and Cream (probably the best episode of this show to date): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strawberries_and_Cream_(The_Mentalist)

"O'Laughlin and Van Pelt arrive at Hightower's hideout. Jane tries to warn Lisbon, but it's too late. O'Laughlin enters Hightower's house and shoots Lisbon, who's wearing protective gear. Lisbon recovers and distracts O'Laughlin, who is then shot and killed by Hightower and Van Pelt.

Jane instructs Lisbon to hit redial on O'Laughlin's cellphone and tell the person who answers that O'Laughlin is dead. When Lisbon dials, the phone belonging to a person reading a newspaper (Bradley Whitford) sitting near Jane rings and the person picks up, answering: "Never mind. You win some, you lose some, I guess." Lisbon confirms this is what she hears, and Jane realizes the man is Red John. He confronts him. The two converse, with Red John pointing a concealed gun at Jane. As he is about to leave, Red John reveals unpublished knowledge about the murder of Jane's family. Jane then kills Red John with a gun hidden in his pocket.

The episode ends with Jane casually going back to finish his tea, and then, surrendering to armed security officers who rush to the scene.
