The Mentalist

What's funny is tonight's episode feels like a Season/Series Finale, yet they've got another 14-episodes to air this season.

Yep, and after what happens tonight, I´d say the RJ case will be closed or maybe not completely ? We´ll have to wait and see, I want to see what happens with Patrick after this.

According to the published links, the following episode with be set 2-years into the future and there will be no mention of Red John since everyone will already have resolved these issues. It will be a sites reboot.

I rewatched that season 3 finale, and except for the fact that such fake RJ is very dead, he had a voice very much like RJ´s voice in this Season 6 episode 1.

I may change my mind in the next minute, but I´ve watched again S6E1, and noted that when Lisbon finds Partridge dead, he can barely say tiger, tiger, and apparently dies, but check this out, Lisbon was pulled back by who ? the real RJ I think-

Patrick calls Lisbon, but RJ answers Lisbon´s phone.
That being said, I think that when Lisbon got to that place, there was Partridge (we assume he´s dead now), but there was somebody else there, I´d say the real RJ.

We´ll find out soon, who is the real RJ

The voice almost identical if not the same to RJ´s voice in season 2 episode 23, clip below

Just out of curiosity, why did Patridge decide to utter Tiger, Tiger in his dying breath? Given his position in the CBI, he would be a in position to identify 5 or 6 of the Red John suspects (including himself) by sight. Perhaps Red John was masked and did not reveal his identity to Patridge. Given RJ's cruel sense of humor, I'm surprised he didn't place his body in a pear tree. :)

Anyway, it's all idle speculation at this point because all shall revealed in a few hours.

Great episode!
I almost died laughing when Bertram got double-crossed and uttered his dying word, "Hey?" (Lol) Well, McAllister is Red John and he is also Dead John. The Hunt for Red [strike]October[/strike] John is over and there will be a new beginning for Jane starting next week; The Mentalist 2.0/Reboot.

[strike]Brett Stiles[/strike] - the leader of the Visualize Self-Realization Center (blowed-up by Red John)
[strike]Gale Bertram[/strike] - CBI Chief (member of the Blake Association killed by one of Red John's henchmen)
[strike]Raymond Haffner[/strike] - former CBI Lead Agent with ties to Visualize (blowed-up by Red John)
[strike]Reede Smith[/strike] - FBI Agent who admits there is a larger CBI conspiracy before killing Kirkland (member of Blake Association who turned himself in)
Thomas McAllister - County Sheriff in close contact with Bertram and Smith (head of the Blake Association and Red John)
[strike]Bob Kirkland[/strike] - Homeland Security Agent hunting Red John (was murdered by Reede Smith)
[strike]Brett Partridge[/strike] - Forensic Investigator (killed by Red John)

Wow, Agreed what an episode.

And I still have questions.

This is a
Ok, I discarded Partridge coming back from the dead, but it was McAllister the one coming back from the dead, I didn´t see that coming.
But I still have a question, who was that mystery woman in the chapel ?
Anyway, I enjoyed the show

So we´ll have a new era after Red John, cast changes....

Next episode It's almost like a pilot for a new show. When we come back after Red John's death, Jane is somewhere in paradise. A large portion of the episode is in Spanish. Cho is now with the FBI. Rigsby and Van Pelt have their own little detective business. And Lisbon is in Washington state working as a chief of police in a podunk kind of town. The episode opens with her talking to grade-school kids about what the police do

Was was one of Red John's many gal-pal groupies. She was probably sent there by RJ as a precautionary measure should Jane gain the upper hand. Personally, I don't see how any of these women could be attracted to this Red John's power and animal magnetism. Haffner would have been a more credible Red John.

Yes, it will be a complete series reboot and I have no idea how things are going to play-out. I guess CBS figured this was the final season of the show in its current form, so instead of having a Red John season finale, why not do it after 8 episodes and then try to re-write a new, but similar, show with the remaining 14 episodes. I'll give 'em credit for trying because the Red John storyline was getting tired.
