ok so heres the deal i have a dish 1000.2 that i need pointed at 119,110, and maybe 129 but im not really concerned with that one mainly just 110 and 119 i just moved so i had to remount my dish i have already set this dish up a couple of times and done other installs and have never had a problem until now so i mounted the mast and made sure it was 100% plumb and double checked my skew and elevation and then tried to peak in on 119 but can not find it at all not even a very low signal but the weird part is i can get 110 at 95 quality and even 129 at around 70% but no 119 the thing is there are some trees kind of in the distance that i think could possibly be blocking signal but what im wondering is if its possible to get those 2 satellites through the trees but not 119 i would think that if i can get signal on those 2 than i should be able to get 119 anyway if anyone can shed any light on this i would greatly appreciate it.....

one more thing i was wondering what tool it is that the dish installers use to tell if your going to be able to get signal or not maybe i should just call an installer and have them come out and tell me if thats the problem? i dont know but i could use any input youve got to give lol thanks for your time

Suunto Tandem Inclinometer is what I used for site surveys.

119 sits lower and to the west in the sky then 110, 129 is west and lower then 119. Very well could be a tree blocking your 119.

Your problem doesn't sound like trees. It would be very difficult to have no signal on the "middle" satellite while having proper signal on the two outer satellites. I would take a stab that you have something connected wrong but my gut says that your LNB is bad.

The clinometer mentioned is the best way to gauge line of sight but, I still think it near impossible to get 110 and 129 without 119.

This link shows the clinometer and the way the sats are arranged and "veiwed" by the dish.

Some pine trees or what not at the top could block just the 119 one of those installs where you kick yourself for not checking all satellites before mounting.

Might not be the case.... you never know.
