The Boilermaker State (#19)
I have Satellites 1 and 2 set up for Ku and C Band and have channels stored that I want to keep. I have satellites 3 and 4 set up for Ku and C band for scanning temporary channels to be deleted after the event is over. This has been working fine......until lately. Here is the problem, when I attempt to delete my channel list on satellite 3 or 4 they clear with no problems, the problem is after sat 3 or 4 are cleared the 1st channel from sat 1 and 2 moves over to the 3 and 4 channel list. When this happens the receiver will not let me scan anything on 3 and 4. When I try to delete these channels on sat 3 and 4 the receiver goes into a re boot. When the reboot is complete the channel is still there. I have tried to delete the 1st channel on sat 1 and 2, but when it disappears the 2nd channel assumes the number one position and shows up on the sat 3 and 4 list. Nine times out of ten I have to do a master rest to solve this problem. Seems like lately all I have been doing is MRs and restoring the channels I want to keep.

Now, unrelated to the above. When I scan an FR on any sat Ku or C it will usually scan it fine (excluding the above), when I go to the channel list for sat 2 C Band there will be anywhere from 5 to 65 channels listed as "new channels" on that list. They will show the FR and SR of the channel I just scanned on any other satellite, but they show no audio or video, just a dark screen.

I have 4 cables running from the splitter to the D switch. They are all matched up, port 1 to LNB 1 on the D switch for Ku, 2 to 2 for C, 3 to 3 for Ku and 4 to 4 for C.

If anyone know why this is happening and how it can be corrected, please let me know. This is starting to be a pain in the........... ;)

I would guess that there is a corrupt channel or transponder somewhere.
Have you loaded the "latest" firmware? (though it's 10 years old - hehe)

There is a way to save your setup and channels to a PC, for reloading, not the easiest or fastest, but it works
