programming genie remote

tried to add hitachi 65r8 tv to remote but model is not listed...hit model not listed button but nothing seemed to happen..any thoughts

Point your remote at the box and hold mute and enter simultaneously first. This will put your remote in RF mode. After that, go into the remote control programming menu for your tv and follow the instructions. If it can't automagically program, it'll have you select your make. Then chose "I don't know my model". Then let it go through the steps. If that doesn't automagically program it, then your TV is unsupported.
