NHL 2008-09 Season

back in the old days when I was in grade school and Sportschannel America was using the Hawk Vision PPV telecasts.

After reading your "Detoilet" and "D-twat" nonsense, something tells me that was a couple of years ago!

It's ALWAYS THE SHARK'S YEAR.
We hear the same thing EVERY year.

Till they actually beat Detroit in the playoffs and win it, we will continue to hear this.
That said, thier team has been molded after the Red Wings now, so it would not surprise me if they did win it all.

Jimbo

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. You see this a lot in the other leagues also. Teams built just to beat a divisional rival. They can keep trying, but every year, they we are, contending once again. I wish Illitch would buy the Lions.

Enough Red Wing talk. How's the rest of the league doing?:D

How about the L.A. Kings? They have been winning right along and have just come off a very successful roadtrip. Coach Murray says that he is having more fun in the clubhouse right now since he first started in '82. Kids like Kopitar, Sullivan, Doughty and Brown are really gelling on and off the ice. They very well may make the 8th spot in the Western Division this year.

And the Ducks are staying afloat in and around that critical 5th spot in the West. Playing alot better recently. However, thay have a wierd schedule where they now play the 15th, 18th, and 20th...so lots of time off to get rusty again.

Come playoff time, I expect to see some very physical hockey being played. There a lot of young teams that will be looking to make a name for themselves, at the expense of the higher seeded teams. The survivor will have really earned their names on the Cup.

gotta LOVE your hockey insight.

Can this sh*t get back on topic?

Oh I know! Flyers lose to the hapless Sens, UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I have actually started watching some Panthers games and I gotta say, it has been fun! Especially the other night when the Panthers were down 4-1 in the 3rd period and Richard Zednik socred the tying goal with a minute left in the game and the winning goal in overtime. LAST NIGHT, they cruised past the Hurricanes 5-0...and tonight, I am ACTUALLY GOING to the Panthers/Rangers game. They are in 7th seed and tonight's game is HUGE!!! It should be fun....

...wow...a Puerto Rican enjoying a hockey game IN Florida....who would of thunk it...? LOL!

Holmstrom had surgery for his hernia yesterday, and may be gone for the next 4 weeks. I'm sure somebody will step up. Probably Cleary.

GO RED WINGS!!!

I thought that the Wings TV guys said something about Mac having hernia surgery too.
That is the first time they have even mentioned him in a long time.
I missed the whole thing only caught only the last bit soif anyone heard the whole thing please post it. Thanks

Mac is returning to Grand Rapids next week.

Buffalo beats the league-leading Sharks in a shootout, but they never would have gotten there if not for Jason Pominville's tying goal with four seconds left in regulation,
