NHL 2008-09 Season

I've never seen the black uni's either.

May have been the uni's I saw at practice, I don't think I've ever seen them play a real game in them.

I wonder why they would want to go away from the traditional uni's for the Outdoor game. I would be disappointed if that happens.

What's that about? I hadn't heard anything about that.

Red Wings fans have been spoiled for about 15 years now.
Go to a game and you won't see much cheering or enthusiasm until the score, very disappointing compared to some other teams.

We've been in the playoff's for 16 or 17 consecutive years now. It's a different atmosphere then. I think we've become jaded.

HOW ABOUT 'DEM DUCKS?????

Teemu Selanne's power-play goal broke open a tied game in the third period and the Ducks prevailed for a 3-2 victory at Columbus. Anaheim returns home with four straight road wins, a feat done just one other time in team history.

Damn it! I actually tuned into this one and tried to give the Blue-Jackets a chance. I think I should re-think my idea of adopting an NHL team as whatever team I root for ends up failing miserably... :(

What do you guys think of the Blue Jackets new jersey's?

Personally, I like the new ones much better than the previous star filled C/B with a hockey stick through the middle logo. The old seemed too busy.

It still amazes me that the only NHL team in Ohio goes to Columbus, not Cincinnati or Cleveland. Granted Columbus is a big town, but isn't the other two bigger?

C-Bus is actually the largest city in Ohio and the 15th largest in all of the US with a population of 747,755.

Cleveland is the second largest (40th overall) with a population of 438,042.

Cincinnati is third largest (56 overall) with a population of 332,458.

But Columbus ranks behind both Cleveland and Cincinnati if you also take in consideration the greater surrounding areas outside of the city.

But you should take in the surrounding area, the television market.

I don't live in the city of Pittsburgh, but I am considered part of the Pittsburgh market.

What the hell is a "Blue Jacket" anyhow? Is that something you wear to dinner at the country club?
