Steelers over Titans- Since the NFL implemented the "Defending champ has a Thursday night opener," the home team is a perfect 5-0.
Falcons over Dolphins- Interesting game- battle of last year's storybook turnaround teams. I think it'll be close, but I give Atlanta the slight edge based on
Ravens over Chiefs- This is the worst possible scenario for KC- opening on the road against that scary Raven D, possibly no Matt Cassel, throwing one of their other QB's into the fire.
Panthers over Eagles- I like their running game more than Philly's.
Bengals over Broncos- Cincinnati is in perfect harmony compared to what the Broncos are going through. Also, Bengals have the edge in all offensive positions. Josh McDaniels is in for a long, long season.
Browns over Vikings- This is my upset special. I don't trust Favre at this old age.
Texans over Jets- Houston has great weapons- Sanchez has no offensive weapons other than Thomas Jones and Leon Washington.
Colts over Jaguars- No slow start for Indy this year- last year, Manning had surgery in July and it slowed him early in the season. This year, he's 100% ready- Jags are not the team of a few years ago.
Saints over Lions- Saints' offense + Lions defense = LOL
Cowboys over Buccaneers- Tampa has no great QB, fired their offensive coordinator, and have no great playmakers. Unless Derrick Ward runs wild, I don't like their chances against a Dallas team that looks like they may have better chemistry than they did a year ago.
Cardinals over 49ers- These teams are total opposites in terms of offensive playmaking ability.
Giants over Redskins- The Redskins have not fared well against the G-Men in recent years- a 3-7 record since 2004.
Seahawks over Rams- Seattle is starting at home, tweaked their roster, and are facing a team they have owned in recent years.
Bears over Packers- I'm still a little concerned about Green Bay's defense.
Patriots over Bills- Let's see- new offensive coordinator, iffy QB, starting on the road against a team they have not beaten in six years- this is too easy. Pats win going away.
Chargers over Raiders- San Diego killed Oakland the last time they met on Monday Night Football- the more things change, the more they stay the same.
