NFL preseason 2010-2011 Official discussion thread!

Two Raiders employees this morning said that all the McNabb to Raiders rumors are false and manufactured by the Eagles to raise his trade value. Asomugha's reps said they haven't been approached about any of the trade talk (though neither has McNabb's, yet the Eagles 'dont want to trade' but 'are listening' and 'want one of the first 43 picks in the draft'. Who knows what's true.

Santonio Holmes has been lashing out at fans on twitter over the last day after his lawsuit news yesterday: http://twitter.com/SanTonio10

- "U as fans would never learn! Remember u don't cut my check"

- @DMKayser "y u tryna make me look like the bad guy. U shud try finding the worst thing that you could drink n kill urself"

Wow.

THAT is why I love AND hate all the rumors. I would love the Raiders to TRY without giving up the farm. Truthfully, the ONLY NON-KICKER of any value is Nnamdi Asomugha.

...and as far as Santonio....wow!

If Jamarcus is cut before the start of the season he'll still be owed $3m, but the Raiders would save almost $7m.

McNabb said he doesn't want to go to Oakland and would 'refuse the trade' (which he has no ability to do aside from retiring Jake Plummer-style).

Despite 2 unnamed employees debunking the McNabb rumors half a week after they started, the rumors continue. Unless the organization officially says they are out of the QB hunt or htat Jamarcus is less than the 270-290 that's being reported, there's no reason for people to believe otherwise.

Joe Jerivicious scored a signifigant victory today in his case against the Browns and the of staph infection outbreak they had at the training facility.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...s-big-win-in-lawsuit-against-browns/#comments

Basically the Browns tried to hide behind the CBA and have this quickly resolved in federal court, the judge said no and outlined what could and couldn't be tried against the Browns in state court:

PFT said:
Judge Oliver ruled that the following claims made by Jurevicius are not preempted by the CBA, and sent them to Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court: (1) negligent failure to warn players regarding potentially hazardous conditions at the training facility; (2) negligent failure to undertake proper precautions to remove and/or prevent the spread of staph; (3) negligent misrepresentation regarding whether prior incidents of staph infection had been contracted at the training facility; (4) fraudulent misrepresentation that proper procedures were in place to prevent staph infection at the training facility; (5) intentional exposure of employees to a dangerous condition about which the employer was aware; and (6) deliberate misrepresentation of the presence of a toxic or hazardous substance as creating a rebuttable presumption of intent.

Judge Oliver found that two claims could not proceed in court: (1) constructive fraud; (2) breach of fiduciary duty.

Now the Browns will have a drawn out legal battle on their hands unless they settle.
