Ugh. This has been a rough weekend. I am trying to have faith in Mike Holmgren and company, but he's really testing me.......
I'm more pissed about trading Wimbley than I am Quinn. Wimbley wasn't worth being a high first round pick like he was, but he was a solid defender.
I agree. He also showed progress under Mangini last year. You'd think he was at the very least better than an unknown 3rd round commodity that they got for him.
Which brings me to this year's draft. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Browns now have TWELVE draft picks this year, with 3 of them in the 3rd round!
No me. I think the JETS are actually planning on making him the feature RB. That is the ONLY reason I think he signed. Because truth be told, you KNOWN Favre will be back and the Vikings have a MUCH BETTER chance of getting to the Super Bowl than the JETS do.

Jets are having locker room issues I guess, as the team was loyal to Jones. Now the Jets have gone and paid more for LT than the Chiefs are paying Jones.

Yeah, I get why Thomas Jones was expendable (wrong side of 30), but if baffles me that they would go and sign someone who has even more miles on them and pay them more than TJ as his replacement!

I would have to disagree due to LTs...a ego. I doubt he would have signed with the JETS unless they verbally promised him he was the main guy. IF he would have wanted/accept a complementary roll....he would have signed with the Vikings.
But truth be told, we really don't know until he says something.
LT will say all the right things, but there is no doubt the team wants Shonn Green to be their main guy. Last year they pounded one and used another occasionally until the second half. They'll try to keep Green as fresh as possible by using LT and Leon Washington, with Green just here and there, and then use Green when it's time to 'ground and pound'.

Edit: One Raiders starter was quoted as calling the Russell situation "a horror show." Asked about Russell's attendance, another replied "don't hold your breath."

Packers TE Havner (caught 5 TDs on like 9 catches last year) was in a motorcycle accident and broke his shoulderblade. He was then arrested for DUI and wasn't wearing a helmet.
I don't think Leon's coming back. I think the Jets are scared he won't be anywhere near the player he was before his serious injury. I believe they will let him sign with another team and take the 2nd round pick in return.
