NFL preseason 2010-2011 Official discussion thread!

Tim Brown this morning on Cowherd's show pointed out the Raiders kicker and punter make more per year than he ever did. Said only 2-3 people on every team are really trying to 'build a legacy' and that the vast majority are just working to get a nest egg built for themselves/family. He also said that if he got 30 mil guaranteed coming out of college, he probably wouldn't have played the same way on the field.

Broncos have cut starting LB Andra Davis, he's 31 and started all 16 games last season. 2nd starter they've released in the last day, the other was DE Kenny Peterson

Delhomme is leaving Cleveland without a contract and is off to visit the Saints. He has scheduled trips to Denver and Green Bay also.

Raiders have released DT Gerard Warren, not a surprise, as he had a roster bonus coming up next week.

Some thug was convicted of killing Darrent Williams.

If anything, Seneca will be mentoring the incumbant. After all, he's been a part of Seattle/Holmgren's system for how many years now?
Has Holmgren stated that we'll be running the West Coast Offense? I thought he was going to leave that up to Mangini?

Not sure if he's said anything, but I am assuming he would have at least some sort of persuasion on Daboll's playbook (O-Coodinator) in order for Holmgren to have retained him in the first place.

Florida quarterback Tim Tebow got only 22 of 50 questions correct. Notre Dame's Jimmy Clausen was only one answer better, with a 23.

Oklahoma's Sam Bradford aced the thing (relatively speaking), getting 36 out of 50 right.

On the Wonderlic, Tebow, Clausen nearly scored in the teens | ProFootballTalk.com
Hey, Tebow and Clausen both got scores almost four times better than Vince Young's reported 6. If they are four times better than Vince, they should be pretty good. :)

As for Bradford, it's reported he got straight A's in college, except for one 'B'. He shouldn't have a problem with anybody's playbook, even Mike Shanahan's.

RB Larry Johnson is a Redskin

C Casey Weigmann has rejoined the Chiefs after being a Bronco for 2 seasons. Dude is 37, guessing it will be his last year.

He's visiting a lot of teams but nobody has signed him, after a visit with the Eagles it's already been reported they're going to pass on RB Justin Fargas.

Brad Childress said on a local radio station that if they added LT the depth chart would probably list them as '1 and 1a' ... it is not known if he was high at the time.

Latest I heard was LT going to the Jets is more likely, they have the better O line and are in NEED of a quality RB.
