Maybe next time he could try to tackle, instead of hit. I'd he's going to deliver a hit then there's a strike zone.

You should remind the rest of the NFL about that Tackle thing vs the Hit as well then.

Seems 90% of the league wants the Hit over the tackle.

Where's that number from? Beause I can show you fines from 2011 to 2012 were down 4.5%. Also, what does it have to do with Suh? It was a minor offense, probably would have been the minimum $ fine if he wasn't a repeat offender, if it was flagrant they probably would have suspended him.

I agree with the tackling issue. I remember those times where defenders would actually tackle and it wouldn't matter how rough the tackle was. I'd love to see that again instead of defenses flying over people's knees or launching on to helmets at full speed. Defenses used to be tougher and rougher but there was mostly great solid tackling, not this BS. Seems lazy to me but hey what do I know, I've only been watching football for 30 years.

here is a way to get more monies

18 game season over 20 - 22 weeks. no player will play more than 16 games in a season and no more than 7 games in a row on his teams schedule.

teams playing on Thursday games will have a bye week before that game. have double headers on Monday and Thursday. first games having teams east of the Ohio, late games west of the Ohio when possible.

expand roster 7-10 players.

lot of football
would bet QB and LT would get same weeks off. lol

I have zero interest in watching a team play a game with backups when the actual starters are healthy. The on field product would suck.

players get hurt we watch. and you are over valuing the product your watching look what Bill Belichick does with players you never heard of. in this format coaching and managing the roster would make it even more interesting.

plus there are lots of good players who never even play in the NFL this was true 50 years ago (AFL)and 30 years ago(USFL) and the coaching they get today is better from pewee to the NFL. the trouble is there are always few Great players most notability at QB. even in the above examples they had few Great QB's.

I'm all about giving more players more opportunities to play. I agree with there being plenty of great talent out there that never gets a chance to play. I'd like to see the roster size increase 10 more players. Think of it as stimulating the economy as there would now be more job opportunities. ;)

I LOVE the idea of a 16 game limit on playtime in an 18 game season, but in Madden, probably not real life. The manufactured drama like QB controversies that wouldn't otherwise come to light would be intriguing though.

Collinsworth last night on INFL had an interesting suggestion: dump TNF, play 2-3 games on Monday night.

Thoughts?

this would fix TNF (bye week before). it's a fixture now like it or not. sorry Collinsworth.
i'm for 2 Monday games.
if it's 22 weeks 5 more than now people would eat it up. players would get more weeks of rest, just maybe they would not be as beat up by the time the playoffs start. coaches would not name the QB in some weeks or the other players who get off. and those fantasy league guys would go nuts. a great game day coach would be priceless.

Don't forget how some of these moves could mess up the world of sports betting. Vegas can be very powerful with these decisions.

Unless the NFL gets a piece of the Vegas betting pie, I doubt BG would keep the welfare of Vegas in mind while making decisions.
More bluntly, besides strippers and escorts, the NFL don't care...

Cheers, K

Its time the Pats put an end to the Gronk drama and put him on the PUP list. Reports state he kicks ass during practice yet does get cleared to play on game day. I can understand he wants to protect his career however at the risk of alienating his teammates and dividing the locker room..just call it quits for the year.

Cheers, K

If you went to 18 games with players only allowed to play 16 then most teams would wait for the final 2 games to rest their starters I think.

Yep,Collinsworth and the players can get over it.TNF is here to stay,we the fans pay their salaries,we like TNF end of discussion. For the money some of these players make, they have no right to complain about playing a Thursday night game.
