Also, the stadium that the Raiders play in was built in 1966...WAY before the popularity of the NFL. The stadium the Redskins play in was built in 1997. The Raider facility is a dump where most high school stadium now are better.
The NFL is pricing live stadium games right out of business. If they are to compete with tv games in HD,they are going to have to make attending a live game cheaper and more attractive.
Does anybody remember the original series Star Trek episode where they were on a planet that had a then 20th century Roman Empire with gladiator battles on TV? The battles were supposed to take place in a TV studio complete with "canned(recorded)" audience/spectator response? Maybe that's where the NFL is headed. Of course, you know that they'd need a live studio audience for when Green Bay scores & does the "Lambeau Leap."
The New Orleans Saints announced this morning that they have hired Rob Ryan as their new defensive coordinator.

That's one QB off the market.
I honestly hope I eat my words about him.

It will be interesting to see what teams desperate for a QB will do if there is no franchise QB in the upcoming draft & the only QB's available in the free agency market are Tim Tebow,Vince Young,& JaMarcus Russell.
I don't think you'll see ANY of them as a Starter next year.
Steelers were looking earlier at V. Young I think it was, but never ended up going that route.
Personally, I think they should go the Hoyer / Cousins route if they are available, that type of qb.
Jamarcus Russell has a better chance at starting a game next year than Elway, Marino, Kelly, Dilfer and Favre combined. Are you high?
After two weeks with the Rams they have parted ways with Titus Young.
