Griffin hasn't played badly, but Cousins has clearly been the better, more seasoned, preseason QB. However, it's difficult to evaluate their performances head-to-head since Cousins is usually playing with and against 2nd and 3rd stringers on both sides of the football...and preseason strimmage play will not answer many questions. Regardless, after selling the farm to acquire Griffin, the Redskins are committed to giving him the next two years to take the snaps. But my money is on Cousins being an impact players either for or against the Redskins. It's too bad the NFL doesn't have a farm system because Cousins can develop into an excellent quarterback if he takes snaps on Sundays.
Finally, Griffin has achieved Tebow-like status in the DC area and he is going to get a free-pass from the media for this season and perhaps even next year. We shall see...when the real games start next week.
