Ok, I will bite....Where did I say they were unproductive?

I did by calling them a poor group of receivers and why the passing game goes though running backs and tight ends more, and is why a Randy Moss just going through the motions is the Raiders' last 1000 yard receiver 7 years ago.

You then said me calling them 'bad' was my opinion and called them good yourself (which is merely replacing my opinion with your own).

Remove the opinions and we are left with 'young and not productive'.

...and doesn't change the point of my post at all, you're just fervently defending anything involving the Raiders.

You know little about my team. How many catches did the TE and RBs last year compared to the WRs? I will tell you: WR had approx. 176 catches... RBs AND TEs had 139. The year before THAT, TE and RBs: approx. 167 catches. WRs: 170.

Just because a running back is a good pass catcher does not immediately make the WR corp bad as you are insinuating. They went to McFadden for passes because he was one of the best RB out of college at catching the ball. 2 Year ago, they did not go to Zack Miller because the WRs sucked, he was one of the best TEs in the NFL.

So I guess that makes you just wanting to "fervently" put down "anything involving the Raiders".

But that is OK, you are entitled to your opinion.;)

I have a feeling that by the end of this upcoming Jets' season,Tim Tebow,Mark Sanchez,& Rex Ryan,at least, will be looking for a new job/team. Possible teams vying for Matt Barkley in the Matt Barkley Sweepstakes are the Arizona Cardinals,Dallas Cowboys,& New York Jets, please feel free to add more candidates.

The last 3 seasons combined he's only missed 4 games, started all the games he played in, and rushed for 3k yards.

For the Lions, that is more than the top 2-3 backs on their roster have put together in each of the past 3 years, and for Oakland he outperformed their leading rusher 2 of those 3 years (DMC has him by 40 yards one year).

The Raiders backs catch a lot more passes, but that's because their receiving core is so bad that their last 1k receiver was Randy Moss just going through the motions in 2005.

Packers got him for peanuts too, veteran minimum $825k and drops to $325k if he gets put on IR.

Some players want to win more than they want the money.

It's easy to look to go with the TOP team in the country ....
He's looking for a ring, regardless weather he has anything to do with getting it or not.

I highly doubt the tebow/sanchez thing will work. I just have a hard time imagining it will.

Welcome...! Funny..a lot of talk down here think that because the Jets have no one to throw to, maybe Tebow would suit their offense better.

That's why I'm adding the Jets to the list of teams entering the Matt Barkley Sweepstakes this upcoming season.

I doubt the Jets will be THAT bad. It's funny, but I feel like the Jets went from overrated to underrated overnight. I still see them as an 8 or 9 win team.

Now this is the question I always had, with the speed AND size that Usain Bolt has, would he have the hands to go with being a NFL receiver?
Could Usain Bolt play in the NFL? Just for fun, here's six teams he might help

And I know I'm not the only one who ever thought about this.

Track stars have played football before, but you have to have the body to do it.

While I think Bolt could do it, but he wouldn't last long.

Bills have a winnable schedule: only games that scare me through the first 16 weeks are the Jets opener, both New England games, and the road games at San Francisco and Houston.

The rest of the schedule looks plausible. I see 8-10 wins for the Bills if they have their heads-on straight.

Personally, the idea of 18 games is nothing more than an owners ploy to get even MORE money out of the fans. Hell, I would not be surprised if this wasn't more of a push by the networks that carry the games.

How would they get more money out of the fans????

THe preseason games already cost the same as a regular game.

You will get more people to 'real games' than games that mean nothing.

Would YOU pay to go to a meaningless game?
