NFL 2009-10 Season

Pacman cooked his own Canadian goose | ProFootballTalk.com

Pacman continues to be an idiot.

He was signed to play on a CFL team. Then on Tuesday on UStream was boasting about how he was going to play in the UFL (until someone called him and said he was playing in the CFL, not the UFL) and that he's got an out in his contract and if any NFL teams want him he's outta there. He's all flexing shirtless and stuff on Ustream and acting like he's high or something (per the Canadian sports writer). Said that after signing with the CFL he's gotten 2 calls from NFL teams.

After his UStream performance, the CFL team dropped him.

Forbes: NFL Franchise Values

Forbes released their annual franchise values.

The Dallas Cowboys are entrenched in the number one slot with a worth of $1.65 billion. The Redskins are 2nd, and the Patriots are third.

Cleveland is #13 at $1.032 billion, ahead of Pittsburgh who is at #16 with $1 billion in value! As always, that is a true testament to us the fans. Imagine if the Browns wer actually good and could capitalize a little bit better on creating national fans rather than just local ones? I know the Browns Backers are a really really strong fan organization, but it is in spite of the team on the field.

Breaking developments on the Cleveland Browns front.....

In the 4th and final preseason game and the ongoing QB competition, NEITHER Quinn or Anderson will play! Instead, Bret Ratlif will start.

In related news, the Boston Globe has reported that the Browns were one of the teams to put a claim on Kevin O'Connell from New England. Hmmm, why would the Browns be interested in another backup QB?

Sounds to me that Mangini already knows his starter and the other one might be traded.

Make that 3 Offensive Coaches Fired this Week!!

The latest casualty.... Buffalo Bills OC, Turk Schonert after the offense's dismal performance in the preseason.

The move was announced by coach Dick Jauron on Friday, less than a day after the Bills (1-4) closed their preseason with a 17-6 loss to Detroit.

Quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt will take over as the Bills prepare to open the season at New England on Sept. 14.

Pats release Backup QB, Walter

Quarterback Andrew Walter was informed the New England Patriots are releasing him, an NFL source said Friday.

This means that rookie quarterback Brian Hoyer has, for now, won the competition to be Tom Brady's backup.

Hoyer was impressive in the Patriots' regular-season finale against the Giants, and the Patriots are not expected to trade for or sign another veteran QB.

Not exactly the best team to open up against.

It's looking more and more like we'll see a lopsided rout in Foxboro- but I hope I'm wrong.

It won't be the first or last time the Bills run for the bus in Foxboro:mad:.

Juron, saved his job for a couple weeks anyways. Let's hope when he does get the boot, they wait until the season is over to find a replacement, unless it is one of the former Super Bowl Winning Coaches without a job and his name isn't Ditka.
