NFL 2009-10 Season

Bucs have lost S Tanard Jackson for the first 4 games to a suspension for violating the league substance abuse policy. He is not going to appeal.

Projected starter at WR, Raiders Chaz Schilens broke a bone in his foot, typically a month+ to recover.

One of the other defendants of the Big Ben civil suit has filed a motion for it to be dismissed.

SSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH**************************!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

THIS is was I did NOT want to happen. Schillens and Russell had off season workout together...they built a good connection from all indications....now this SH**!!!

:(:(:(

All this excitement and i didnt realize that Favre's first action is against the Chiefs (he's starting the preseason game on Friday). Hope Tyson Jackson and Glen Dorsey make him feel real welcome.

We dont have a good NT for the 3-4 we're running though, he may not need to throw a pass.

gee the big story tonight on the newscasts

hmmmmmmm

Farve & Childress said with the choppers flying overhead of the escalade "it felt like OJ"

September 13th, aka Week 1 in Cleveland is going to be an absolute ZOO! And guess who most likely has tickets? THIS GUY!!!!

Welcome to the Dawg Pound Brett! You look great in Purple! SIKE!!!!! :D

Florio makes a good point this morning about the NFL being in a tough spot over the Raider stuff. Something did happen, punch or otherwise, and if they don't do anything about it then they create a double standard after Steve Smith was suspended 2 games last season for fighting with a teammate.

I think this is the year the Lions beat the Vikings.

After all, Favre throws interceptions like Sandra tosses insults at the Isles.

you been drinking again, huh? ;)

Now you guys know how I feel about the Lions by now, but believe me when I tell you one game we can win this year, is against the Vikings in Detroit. Forget about the lions winning in Minnesota, I don't think that has happened in my lifetime. Sabre, i saw the picture in "Caption this", and that play cost us the win last year. Adding Favre means nothing to me, he won't be the Favre that won MVP's. The Vikings are only marginally better with him.

Hey Paul, are you pumped for the Great Lakes Classic this Saturday?!

Seriously, it's a crime to charge full price for this preseason game between the Browns and Lions. I pity the poor soles that did....

Oh yeah, can't wait. Scratch that, I can wait, as a matter of fact, I'll probably do anything possible to avoid watching. Possible activities -

1) Go stand in line somewhere
2) Get my ass kicked
3) Fight with my wife. Wait a minute, that's the same as #2.
4) Get hit by a car

Fran Tarkenton Bashes F*

"I really have no interest in what Brett Favre does. He kind of lost me a few years ago by retiring and un-retiring and here and there," Tarkenton said on "The Opening Drive" on Sirius NFL Radio.

"I asked a few friends here, maybe 10 or 12 people we were out with last night. I said, 'What do you think about Brett Favre going back to the Vikings?' You know who cared? Nobody. It's good news for you guys. It's good news for television and so forth but the last time I heard ... football was a team sport, isn't it? It's not just about the quarterback."

"I think he has been a great flamboyant quarterback, but he has made more stupid plays than any great quarterback that I've ever seen. Look at his final game in a Packers uniform. He blew that game [NFC championship] against the Giants," Tarkenton said.

"I really think the whole Brett Favre saga of retiring, un-retiring, three weeks ago [saying] 'I can't play,' the Vikings said, 'We're moving on,' it's a circus," Tarkenton said Wednesday "The Opening Drive." "It's an absolute circus, and it takes away from all the other things that are going on with the Vikings, with the NFL. We're getting ready for a football season and this is a circus and I just have no interest in it.

"Wouldn't you be upset if you're a Packer fan? I think you're going to have Packer fans burning the No. 4 Favre Green Bay jersey. I think the Packer fans have every right to be outraged."
