NFL 2009-10 Season

Yep. We got some mean SOB's running the show now in Cleveland. If anything, those guys will whip our boys in shape and get them to play with some toughness.

...then, when it's decision time to play either man-to-man or the bull**** 'prevent defensive'....instead of playing aggressive to win.....he plays not to lose.

....and that's where His-Royal-Gooness turns into a withering flower.

Good luck with that!

Anyway, I saw a good article on Brady Quinn that you might be interested in.

Us Browns fans know all too well of that "prevent defense". Every one of our former coaches called games that way. We'll see if Ryan has a different formula during this gig...

Nice article Salsa! Thanks for sharing.

I too hope for Quinn's success. From everything he's shown so far, he's a great leader, a tough worker, a perfect citizen and teammate. You won't find a harder working player in the locker room than Quinn. He's also from Ohio and "get's" what Browns culture is all about.

The other night when the Browns held an inter-team scrimmage, 13,000 fans showed up to watch. Following the game, Quinn stayed well after to sign an autograph for each and every kid who wanted one. By the time he made it back to the locker room, all of the players and coaches were already long gone.

There isn't a more deserving player for success than the Mighty Quinn. I hope to hell he is our future leader!

Never understood the "prevent defense". It's more like "prevent winning". You play one way all game and it works, and then you change up, and go soft? Just stupid in my book. Kind of like the Lions.

Exhibition season starts for my Lions this Sunday. Another pre-season championship on it's way!

How is Matthew Stafford doing? Who's the starter from Day 1, him or Cullpepper?

I got to think it will be Culpepper. Look for Stafford AFTER we lose the first 6 games, or Thanksgiving day. They seem to be impressed with Stafford, but either way, we will probably lose the first 6 games, so why start him now? Let Culpepper take the physical beating.

I loved the player....but has done nothing as a coach. And is has always been WAY TOO much of a trash talker.
you don't think he deserves a shot? i recall some criticizing the hiring of the head coach of the 49ers but so far so good. you'll never know if cox will make a good coach unless you give him a shot. ;)

EVERYONE deserves a shot. I just never liked him...and teamed up with Dr. Goo, I like the tadem even less. LOL!!

...Sorry, I am may need therapy after what how even with a terrible offense last year, Mr. Johnny-have-another-donut blew a couple of games the Raiders could have won if not for the lack of testicular fortitude he displayed in play calling late in games.:eek:;)

You can FEEL IT? Is that like "spider-sense tingling" ?!;):p I am looking forward to the game, like all the games. I was invited by one of my best friends' family to come up and see the game. They have been Browns season ticket holders since the early 70s....EVEN when they lived just east of Buffalo.

I believe it. Us Browns fans are Die-Hard. We stick with our teams through thick and thin. And if you come down, lemme know. I can recommend some restaurants here in town that will rival anything you had at Chicago or Miami.
