NFL 2009-10 Season

Both the NFL Network and ESPN will be airing live specials to coincide with the release of the 2009 NFL schedule. Not only that, but ESPN is planning a whole three hours around the thing....
When the National Football League announces its 2009 regular season schedule, ESPN’s SportsCenter Special: Schedule Release will review the entire slate of games Tuesday, April 14 (7-8 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and continuing from 8-10 p.m. on ESPN).

Does anyone know if this schedule will be leaked before ESPN's 7pm special tonight?

Trade Offers Swirling for 2 of the Browns Most Prized Possessions!

Here's what Michael Lombardi had to say in Sunday's Edition of the National Football Post:

1. Trade winds are blowing, and the Cleveland Browns seem to be making the most noise of any team. I hear from more than one NFL team that the Browns have a No. 1 pick on the table for Brady Quinn and are looking for more. However, it appears to the teams that I’ve talked to that the Browns will make the move to trade Quinn. There seem to be two teams very interested. They also will move Braylon Edwards and have at least a No. 1 pick on the table right now. Expect the Browns to have their team reshaped by the time the draft ends.

2. The Browns are really in love with Michael Crabtree at No. 5.
The National Football Post | Notes From Lombardi: Sunday Edition

Crabtree will be gone by the 4th pick.....sad to say for Raider fans.:(

I actually believe he will be around after that.

Here's how I see the top 4 panning out like this......

1. Detroit- QB- Stafford
2. St. Louis- OT- Jason Smith
3. Kansas City- OLB- Aaron Curry
4. Seattle- OT- Eugene Monroe

Unless the Browns trade Braylon, we have other needs at #5. I can't see the Bengals drafting a WR either. Crabtree should fall in Oakland's lap at #7.

For whats its worth, radio reports around here are coming up that Stafford is telling his Georgia buddies that he will be the number 1 pick, with about 40 million guarenteed (sp)

We already know about the Monday Night Football doubleheader on opening week (Bills/Pats, Chargers/Raiders), but here's the rest of it:

Week 2- Colts/Dolphins (Right off the bat; that division title got them much respect!)

Week 3- Panthers/Cowboys (Can Smash and Dash wreck the Cowboys' home opener?)

Week 4- Packers/Vikings

Week 5- Jets/Dolphins

Week 6- Broncos/Chargers

Week 7- Eagles/Redskins

Week 8- Falcons/Saints

Week 9- Steelers/Broncos

Week 10- Ravens/Browns (Browns won twice on Monday Night last year, and we know how HD feels about the Rat Birds)

Week 11- Titans/Texans

Week 12- Patriots/Saints (This could be the best of the bunch)

Week 13- Ravens/Packers

Week 14- Cardinals/49ers

Week 15- Giants/Redskins

Week 16- Vikings/Bears

Your thoughts, guys?

Week 10- Ravens/Browns

I can't stand those Rat Birds! This will be the perfect opportunity to stick it to that back stabbing, ugly uniformed franchise!

You were right on time, for I already said the following:

"we know how HD feels about the Rat Birds."

You never disappoint me.

Cleveland has the eighth-easiest schedule.

That includes game with the mediocre NFC North and the horrific AFC West.

Combine that with two Bengal games- that's 10 wins already for the Brownies!

Here are the NFL Network games:

Bears-49ers (Cutler vs. the improving 49ers- that's watchable)

Dolphins-Panthers (Anders and Rey are two talkative guys, and they will not be afraid to talk smack)

Giants/Broncos (Another Thanksgiving turkey- Orton vs. Manning. I'm putting everything on the Giants!)

Jets/Bills (No Favre means... well, maybe Buffalo can actually WIN a game at night)

Steelers/Browns (Plain and simple- the members on this site will make it huge)

Colts/Jaguars (This seems familiar- late December, same two teams...)

Cowboys/Saints (Over/under- 90 points?)

Chargers/Titans (That's a hell of a Christmas game)
