NFL 2009-10 Season

I would pretend to forgive him for the one day during the Super Bowl, but then I'd continue on not respecting him for being a ME guy and not a TEAM guy.

So let's say THE TEAM says he is a team guy and has forgiven him...is it MORE important what the team thinks of him than what YOU or I would think of him...?

Not exactly a surprise:

[ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4040009"]New York Giants release beleaguered receiver Plaxico Burress - ESPN[/ame]

I'm kinda shocked.

They stuck with him this long, you'd think they would stick with him for the rest of the way.

And since they let their #2 receiver (Amani Toomer) go, add another team to the many that will be seeking WR's this year.

BTW, I can now see the NY Giants and Browns in talks for Braylon Edwards. BE would fit perfectly in NY while Mangini continues clearing house.

Now expect the Giant to go hard after Boldin.

Skeletor doesn't have much confidence in J-Marc huh?

Prolly has all the confidence in him, but not as much in Tui who i've always liked, I assume he's still on the roster?

There's your answer HD....the Raiders DESPERATELY need a solid backup. Tui has been serviceble at best. With ALL due respect to Garcia, I hope we use VERY little of him. This is a VERY good signing by the Raiders.

A guy who made the Pro-Bowl just 2 short years ago is going to be the Raiders back-up?! Are you kidding me? Why wouldn't the job go to the more qualified QB? I say let them compete in training camp. May the best QB win the starting spot.

Kellen Winslow Signs Largest TE Contract Ever!

Winslow signs largest TE deal in history

The [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=tam"]Tampa Bay Buccaneers News, Schedule, Players, Stats, Video - NFL - ESPN[/ame] extended the contract of their newest acquisition, [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=5531"]Kellen Winslow Profile - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - ESPN[/ame], by giving him the biggest contract for a tight end in NFL history.

Winslow, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, agreed to a six-year, $36.1 million deal that includes $20.1 million in guarantees. With incentives, the deal could grow to $42.1 million.

IMO, this is an awful contract by the Bucs for someone who's had multiple knee surgery's and several bouts with staff infections. They're taking a HUGE risk with this size of contract.

What, like the Browns did between Anderson and Quinn? LOL! Right....! One guy is the future, the other has 1 year left in the gas tank. IF the Raiders were one player away from being in the Super Bowl, then I would be be for it....but we ware FAR FROM THAT. JaMarcus is the best QB for the team....having him suddenly compete for a job already his is way beyond counter productive.

I do not think the staff infection was HIS fault.....

i like this move. if anything it will be a positive thing for russel to have a QB like garcia next to him. i still remember how great it was for marino to have don strock next to him early in his career. very positive influence.
