NFL 2009-10 Season

Yeah Tedd Ginn is brutal, good thing you don't have that old regime that takes wussy kick returners with top 10 picks. I don't care how many catches you had earlier in the game, no excuse for not catching the game winning TD pass.

.

Well when the pass is about 5 ft over your head and you can get one hand on it at the most, ya kinda gotta give the guy a break , better pass, he catches it.

Which of the games for week 3 do you think are the big games?

IMHO, the two biggest games are Falcons/Patriots and Colts/Cardinals.

I agree, the Colts and Cards will make for another great Sunday Nightcap. This continues the trend of Sunday Night being the showcase for the more premiere matchups over the former Monday Night games. To me, Sunday Night is the new Monday Night.

Titans @ Jets is another huge game. So far, the Titans have been the biggest disappointment at 0-2 while the Jets are among the biggest surprises at 2-0. Something has to give in Week 3.

Also, how in the world do the Cowboys get 2 primetime games in a row and at home?! This week they take on the lowly Panthers on Monday Night.

He was referring to another pass in the endzone Ginn dropped towards the end of the game. The one you were referring to was in the first half. In total, Ginn dropped 2 TD passes that game. Here was the last one....

Personally, I never would have drafted him as a recvr.
He was not that good at OSU as a rcvr., Now I don't know if he returns kicks and punts or not, but I would have turned him into a Desmond Howard type early in his career.

Question??

Drew Brees has thrown 9 touchdowns in 2 games and is on pace for 72 touchdowns this year.

Do you think he will break Tom Brady's 2007 record with 50 Pass touchdowns in a season?

Too tough to tell. I need to look at their schedule.

Lions up 13-0 at the half after one of the bigger injuries so far of the day, Albert Hayneswort carted off the field in pain with a towel over his face... looked like a lower leg injury but they're reporting it as a right hip injury. Either way thats tough for a big guy.

Wilfork also injured in the Pats game

Frank Gore was questionable with an ankle, was carted off after his first play.

Brady Quinn and Byron Leftwich are probably both wishing they were injured, leading teams that are being shutout aided by their own mistakes.

5 grievances were also filed with the union against Mangini/Browns over the fines and stuff he's been levying against players.

Full on meltdown mode, I can understand wanting to instill some discipline or something, but it's clearly not working.

To protest Mangini’s fines against players, two grievances already have been filed with the NFL Players Association, said a league source, and three more are in the process of being filed now on behalf of Browns players.

All together, at least five grievances will be filed within the next 24-48 hours, and one NFLPA source predicted more could be coming.

Mangini has fined players for such offenses as not paying their hotel bills, players parking in the wrong spots, and having their cell phones go off in meetings. Mangini is trying to deploy structure and discipline to the Browns, just as he did in New York with the Jets, where he also encountered similar circumstances.

Has any couch been fired during his first season? I would not be that surprised if Mangini does not make it the entire season.

I'd guess it's never happened unless they quit, there's little benefit to firing a coach mid-season unless their replacement is already on staff, otherwise you have a difficult interim situation to deal with.
