NFL 2009-10 Season

They get your Panthers in a week.

If anything, Carolina's chances to win that game look better.
It's going to be for shame Carolina if we don't get off the schnide tomorrow night.

I think the Browns, Chiefs and Rams are in line to be this year's worst teams.

Thoughts on the early games:

1. Giants, Ravens, and Eagles looked great in steamrolling their opponents

2. Brett Favre- the old geezer can still get it done.

3. Jets are 3-0. Sandra, are you going to jump on the bandwagon yet?

4. The king is not dead- New England reasserted themselves quite impressively.

5. Fred Taylor looked everybit like the player they acquired. I'm not saying he'll rush for a bazillion yards liked Corey Dillon did in 2004, but this is a good sign.

6. Lions FINALLY get a win- cue the Zorn bashing.

7. Titans have as many losses in September as they did all of last year.

Has Jim Zorn called a moving company yet ? I'm sure that Danny Boy Snyder is on the phone right now calling every available coach. It sure is a shame to see what he has done to the Redskins and Angelos has done to the Orioles. All for the almighty buck. Must be the Napoleon complex.

I knew the Titans were too good to be true last year. McNair's passing was just a sign of things to come.

Zorn deserves the bashing. The Redskins offense has no playmakers.

The Browns are horrible. Wasn't Brady Quinn supposed to lead them to the playoffs this year? I guess he's as overrated as the school he played for.

Another INT for JaMarcus... both of these teams have a poor defense, it should be a shootout, but JaMarcus is probably the one that will decide if the Raiders are able to keep up or not. Orton in the same boat to a lesser extent, just more talented pass catchers and is a mechanicly more sound QB.

Quitting seems possible as Browns join NFL's worst - NFL - CBSSports.com Football

LMAO! :haha:haha:haha

Again, I honestly hope for their sake that the Browns quit on Mangini. Seriously. And I despise quitting. Hate it. Don't think it should be done, ever, and that includes now. I do not think the Browns should quit on Mangini, because a professional athlete should have enough pride in himself to play his best, regardless of how big a jackass his coach is.
But Mangini is such an enormous jackass that it skews things.
You can quit on your coach and still have a job in this league if you're good enough to play. But if the Browns haven't quit on Mangini, if they actually were trying on Sunday, then they're beyond help. Then there are about 30 of them who don't belong in the NFL. I could list the 30, but it would be easier to just say: the Cleveland defense, the Cleveland offensive line, both Cleveland quarterbacks, every Cleveland running back, Braylon Edwards, and various and sundry Cleveland special team players.

So, did they quit? Only they know. I asked three different Cleveland players if the team had quit on Mangini, and all three said no. But they were talking to an outsider. They don't know me, they don't trust me, and I get that. Only one of them even spoke to me in complete sentences, kick returner Joshua Cribbs, and he avoided the danger entirely.
"I'm no mind-reader, but I don't see any quitting in here," Cribbs said. "Give credit where credit is due. That [Baltimore] is a really good team. They're going to do some things this year. It's not like we quit. We're a disciplined team, and it starts with the coach. We need discipline, and he gives it to us."
Maybe. Or maybe Mangini has given his players something else. Maybe he has given them every reason to quit on him. Reportedly, almost 10 percent of Mangini's active roster -- five players out of 53 -- are in the process of filing grievances against their horse's ass of a coach who has, for example, fined a player $1,701 for not paying for a $3 bottle of water out of a hotel fridge.

Thoughts on the Sunday NFL Action:

1. Congratulations to the Detroit Lions! :bow @party

2. Jim Zorn might need to update his resume.

3. The Giants and Jets both 3-0...let the who better discussion begin.

4. Somebody remind me, where is all this talent that the Raiders allegedly have.

5. There is no doubt now, the Browns are the worst team in the NFL...

6. Speaking of the Browns and Raiders, they play each other on Christmas Day....plenty of good seats available. :D

More Later. ;)

Denver's 3-0. Who saw that coming? I still don't think Kyle Orton is much of a QB, but that Denver D is looking good. That was their achilles heel last year.

WELL...HORRIBLE play calling by Cable for the 2nd week in a row! WHY are the Raiders NOT running the ball??!! With THOSE running backs, it is TOTALLY inexcusable that they are ONLY running the ball an AVERAGE of 20 carries a game!!

SOMEONE ELSE has to do the offensive play calling OTHER than Cable. The Broncos only had 2 scoring drives of more than 50 yards. The defense played well...they bent, bent and bent. Considering how good the field position Denver had all game, it could have been worse!! The D line was sucking wind like crazy!

ONE MORE week before I call it a season......

It's a fluke....The Broncos won in Cincy on a tipped pass for a GW TD and then played the Browns(god awful) and the Raiders(just awful)....heck anyone could be 3-0 playing that lineup.

They're 3-0 after playing the Bengals, Browns, and Oakland. 3 teams in the bottom 5-10 of the league.

They now have to play Dallas, NE, SD, Baltimore, Pittsburgh before their next game against an opponent of similar quality to their first three game.... Washington.

They could pretty easily be 4-5 at that point with the Giants and Eagles still left waiting for them, and a couple of divisional matchups. Of the teams with a winning record they're probably the worst by far.

Yeah, more poor play by JaMarcus with some of these dumpoffs helping buoy his completion percentage, but there was some horrid, horrid play calling in this game.

Chiefs actually had worse play calling, im not sure how many 2nd and 3rd and 10-15+ yard plays we had that were draws/runs... but a majority of them were because our oline couldn't pick up a 4-5 man rush to save their life.
