NFL 2008-09 Season

I don't buy the Redskins either, but it's one of those rivalry games so you never know.

Yes this would be a huge and a GREAT Upset !!!

btw, end of 3 now, same score.

Now, 23-17 Redskins. If the Redskins hold on and the Eagles win impressively against the Bears (as I expect they will), four of my top six teams will probably come from the NFC East.

YES! Finally!!!!!!

It sure was ugly and I was screaming for Brady Quinn in the 3rd quarter, but I'll take it. The Browns are on a bye next week and have 2 weeks to prepare for the New York Football Giants on Monday Night!

Congrats HD MM :)

Did Brady play ?
We were wondering if he would be in in the 1st quarter or the 2nd half. :D

Jimbo

HD MM,
The Browns will also get a break in the NY Giants game.
Plexico will still be serving his suspension, Giants are off next week ...
Wait a minute, I wonder if Plexico's suspension was a 2 week or a 2 game suspension ?

HOW BOUT THEM 4-0 BUFFALO BILLS!!

Skins have a chance to put this game away with a TD, they are clearly in Field Goal range already up by 6, but they really need a TD.
I hope they don't play call for a FG

Thoughts on the Late Sunday Games.

1. Let's see if I get this straight. The Chargers gave up a safety, 2 INT's, 2 missed FG's plus spotted 15 points to the Raiders and the Raiders still lost, and by double digits.

2. Oh and by the way, that's now 9 straight wins by the Chargers over the Raiders. Like I said, the Raiders are the Chargers Beetch.

3. Nice Job Buffalo going 4-0. The Rams actually came out and played hard and with heart, and once the emotion wore off dominated.

4. Jim Zorn is still learning on the job, made mistakes in strategy a few times, but this Redskin team is talented and Jason Campbell is underrated. But a great win by the Redskins.

Jason Campbell, IMO, will this year what David Garrard was last yeat- a guy who NEVER turns the ball over.
(Garrard didn't throw an INT until week 13)

The Redskins, IMO, are smoke-and-mirrors.

They are, IMO, a team that basically coast/sleepwalk through the first three quarters and only wake up in the fourth quarter.

Until they put a complete game together, the Skins, IMO, are 'The 15 Minute Men'

Not sure I'm sold on the Bills yet. Seems like they are beneficiaries of a kind schedule so far. In any event, they do have a shot at making the playoffs this year (it's been a while since you could say that with a straight face). It also appears that Buffalo has its QB problems solved. I guess JP Losman was not the next Jim Kelly.

Which, other than the opening game against the Seahawks, is exactly what Buffalo has done. Like you give the Bills credit for doing, be fair and give the Redskins the same due.

Bill, you're as familiar with the Bills as I am, given that they play in the Pats' division.

Are the 4-0 men of Buffalo for real?

I liked the Bills at the beginning of the year (IIRC, I picked them for a wildcard), but I like them even more now.

Trent Edwards is the real deal!

Oh, and by the way the Redskins didn't sleepwalk in this game against the Cowboys.

They led at the half, 17-10. Led after 3 quarters 20-17. Outgained the Cowboys in yards, and held the ball for 38 minutes.

Is it hyperbole to say that we could possibly have the best division in NFL history (NFC East), and the worst (NFC West)..........here in 2008?
