NFL 2008-09 Season

I STILL refuse to give the Giants any credit for winning the Super Bowl.

I will NEVER admit they were worthy of the title.

They are, in my eyes, flukes and frauds.

I'm not impressed by their 3-0 start- they have beaten two terrible teams (winless Rams and Bengals) and a Redskins team that is not exactly as good as their record indicates.

Explain ....

1. In the Super Bowl, they were extrodinarily lucky that Samuel dropped a pick, Eli didn't get called for what the ref almost called a sack, and that Tyree caught a 1 and a million pass.

2. When your placekicker misses TWO late field goals in the fourth quarter, you don't deserv third chances. However, They got lucky Favre threw that bad pick!

To be honest, I am still bitter about Super Bowl XXV (Remember, I grew up in Buffalo as a Bills fan!)
(That safety call saved their Big Blue butts)

The 1990 Giants were, IMO, a 9-7 team disguised as a 13-3 team.

When you need five field goals to win a conference championship game and get the ball back on a fumble, that is clearly lucky!

If not for the Giants late drive, we would all be talking about how great the Pats are, particlarly after an undefeated season.

DUDE....luck is part of the game. I mean I could same the same thing about that bull**** tuck rule. BUT, it happened...it sucks...but it happened. To be champion of ANY SPORT...you HAVE to be lucky probably MORE than good. Get a lucky call, catch a lucky ball and be lucky that ALL of your most importnat players do not have a season killing injury.

Your STILL pissed because of that loss to the Giants. Tell me, those OTHER years the Bills went to the Super Bowl....I don't see you saying anything about them....

Difference:

That SB was the only one where, heading into the fourth quarter, the Bills had a chance to win.

In the other three (Redskins and Cowboys x2), they were done by then.

The Browns play the Bengals this week. A Browns win puts Cleveland at 1-3 (1-2 in division), just 1 game difference from Pittsburgh. Week 5, the Browns have a bye and this is a great time to get healthy. We've started the season without several key players and hopefully we can get those guys back after the bye.

There's still time to right the ship, although if it doesn't happen this week, I'm confident they will suffer from a giant meltdown and never recover....

I predict you will be smiling on Monday. The Bengals shot their wad and brought their version of an "A" game against the Giants last week, which means they will most likely come out flat this week.

Cleveland hasn't played a good game yet this year, so they're due.

This game has less to do with who is the better team than who will be ready to play considering what has happened the last few weeks.

For anyone watching the Cardinals-Jets game.............

The Cardinals are...........................I'll let Dennis Green finish that ;)

Jets 34, Cardinals 0............. at the half

Just what I need- Arizona getting pummeled and YKH looking good.

All the more reason for the networks to praise the old geezer.

BTW, if anyone thinks that Seattle is still king of that division, you're wrong.

Too many injuries and inconsitsncy!
