NFL 2008-09 Season

HD, I know the Browns have disappointated you,

but at least you can take solace in the fact that the Steelers are in trouble and the Bengals lost AGAIN!

I know it's early , but who's the favorite in the AFC right now?

Buffalo? they struggled to beat Oakland at home

Tennessee? I don't trust their QB/WR situation

Denver? No defense

Pittsburgh? didn't look good against Philly today

I choose.............Jacksonville. Yeah, they're 1-2, but they saved their season today and they're probably the most physical team (along with the Titans) in the AFC. Plus, they're 1-2 punch of Fred Taylor and MJD is lethal!

Eagles looked decent; alas, injuries are cropping up.... AGAIN.

Westbrook didn't play in the second half, IIRC.

Bill, your Super Bowl pick is going to go as far as their health allows them too.

They have to be cautious, or they could become the NFC's version of the Chargers.

I think the answer is that AFC is not going to be the superior conference this year. It seems the best teams are in the NFC.

Thoughs on the Late Sunday Games.

1. Where was this Defense from the Eagles last week.

2. Derek Anderson looks like he was a one-year wonder.

3. From here on out, all Broncos game are the "Popcorn Games".

4. I have to give the Jaguars credit for winning at the end at Indy, but still think they are a flawed team.

Thats 2 pretty good teams you got playing there, of course they aren'trunning up the score.
Philly's D* is playing great.
If you expected the 90 points that Philly and Dallas put up, forget it.

This just tells you how bad Dallas's D is.

Sabres,
You can say that about any of the teams vying for the SB.
Injuries will play a huge role in who makes it.
Big Ben has been playing hurt and is getting killed today by the Philly D*, looks like he's injured his hand late this week, his shoulder has been suspect all season.
Casey Hampton played very little for the Steelers and they still played pretty good D*, but they missed Hampton when they needed a pass rush late.

Well....just got home from Buffalo and I am convinced MORE THAN EVER that the Fat-Tub-of-Goo that is Rob Ryan not ONLY should have been fired last year...but castrated as well. For 3 quarters, he was calling ALMOST a perfect game on defense. Then the offense gave them the lead and he played that Bullsh!t defense called "prevent defense"....which in reality, all it does is prevent you from winning. We were in the QBs mug ALL DAY, they hit him after almost every throw....he was rattled. Then Rob "testicleless" Ryan called off the dogs....He is the one that should be fired with all that talent on defense and getting torched for 41 on opening night and giving up a 9 point lead with 8 minutes left....23 points is MORE than enough for a team with THAT defense to win!

F***ING Ryan.....:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Sorry about your bad luck, salsa, but I have some things to say:

1. It was a nice, balmy day in Buffalo- a far cry from the AFC playoff game in 1994.

2. Your Raiders played a lot harder than I expected- I thought they'd lose by four touchdowns.

3. You're still better off than I am- you've lived through 5 Miami football titles, 2 Marlins titles, the Heat in 2006, and the Raiders' last Super Bowl win. I, OTOH, ama jinxed Buffalo sports fan.

I have to tell ya, that QB you guys have took as ass kicking and just kept coming back. It was a tough, hard hitting game ALL day. It was loud and you could hear the hitting all the way up there. The offensive coordinator was one step ahead of the that Fat-piece-of-sh** in the final 8 minutes and my hats off. I had great skybox seats(thanks to bro-in-law's law firm he is a partnet of). Needless to say, it was a long flight home.:(

Salsa I have no idea why you're a Raiders fan. Today would have been a perfect day to be a Dolphins fan. Sometimes you just can't win. :D

Exactly what I was saying to all the guys I watched the game with, Charles. :up

It's just that they got BLOWN OUT!!! by MIAMI!!! at home!!!

The ironic thing is, if Tom Brady played today, chances are they still get beat. The Pats defense was B-R-U-T-A-L!!!

BTW, after the startling developments of the 1:00 games, my post week 3 top 10 is gonna be DRAMATICALLY different!!

Boy they really sucked out the razor today. Brutal on offense and pathetic on defense. How in god's name could they not stop that college play crap all day, no excuse. Out coached out physicaled all day long. When this team decides to lose games sometimes it is spectacular. Last regular season loss was 21-0 to the Dolphins in 06. Usually have one stinker a year, hopefully that was it.

On a side note, wish we would of got that BS in the grasp call in the Superbowl:mad:
