NFL 2007-08 Season

Since Shanahan got lucky with that sneaky cr*p of calling a timeout the second the ball is snapped to freeze up the kicker, has anyone used it with success? I saw it backfire on Urban Meyer against Auburn, and now last night against Buffalo. Seems to me that a coach could just tell his kicker to make sure he gets the first attempt off as a practice kick, which should help the kicker out.

How bad can the Bills be to get that many turnovers, and still end up losing?

YUP!! You hit it right on the button....baring ANY MAJOR injuries, the Cowboys will be in the Super Bowl. I mean if someone told me that my QB would account to 6 turnovers, have 2 INTs run back for TDs...AND on the road, I would have said we were blown out by 30 or 40 points....I mean you HONESTLY cannot play ANY WORSE than that.....

Ok... worked last night, didn't even see the kick off...Listened to Cowboys Radio Network for a bit, then saw a little CBS Sportsline stats online. This morning when I got off we had heard the Cowboys lost till I got on XM and Espn Radio... Watched the last quarter of the MNF game a little while ago, Wow... ;)

I think they should adjust the rule in the off season, to not allow a time out on kicks INSIDE of 5 seconds on the time clock....

This will all quit being the thing to do when :
A kicker MISSES the first kick and makes the second one.

Then this tactic will start to go away.

That's more than I can say for my Bungles and Redskins.

Your actually calling them Bungles?:D

Looks like there are a lot of problems internally with your team, fighting with each other, players questioning Palmer. IMO when you have players who can't act like adults and behave, the whole team will suffer, hell your defensive lineman has to play LB.

The Lions beat Tampa Bay. 2 more wins and they are bowl-eligible. Maybe they will play Appalachian State.

Yep... I didn't see this one coming for the Lions. I like Kevin Jones. He obviously is a good running back and important to the Lions organization if they are going to be a winning team. Hopefully he is fully recovered and back for good.

I read in the Free Press that he was the #1 running back in the country coming out of high school. He's been plagued with injuries and playing for the Lions since college. Sure would be curious to see how good he would be if the Lions had an offensive line that could block something more than grandmothers.

Gee Paul,
Just wait a few years and you can see that ....
When he leaves in Free Agency :):):)

I guess we'll find out in 15 minutes whether the Lions are contenders or pretenders. Sweeping the Bears will give this team some credibility in my book. (At least until their next loss):D

Look how weird this season is...you guys sweep the Bears...the Bears beat the Eagles in Philly and the Eagles lit you guys up like a Christmas tree....

Try this on for size - Washington lights up Detroit, by over 30. New England steamrolls over Washington by 45. So the question is - How many stops did the bus driver make? Just kidding- where does that leave the Detroit Lions?

It just re-assures EVERYONE that New Englad and Indianapolis are the two best teams PERIOD. And everyone else is playing to LOSE to either one in the Super Bowl....LOL:haha:haha:haha

Well you know you're playing great football when you go to play the undefeated NFL Super Bowl champs in THEIR house, and you are the favorite. My money will be on New England, but you would think INDY would get a little more love than that. This should be a great game. Two spectacularly great teams, in what should be the best game of this season, including playoffs. (At least until they meet again in the AFC championship game!)
