Nope I think it was pushed to the 14th (And don't hold me to that I am going from memory) as everyone is at CES.
I'm almost dreading when that happens. Mine works so well now I'd hate to see new SW muck something up instead of fixing something that aint broke.
Just saw this from Ray on other Dish Forum: "There is a software update release for 1/16/14 to resolve the issue with the apps not loading. Please ensure your receivers are powered off after use after this date so the download can occur. Thanks."

I do hope they fixed the OTA problem on the Hopper it's a pain to have to do a reboot every week or so. I will just be happy with this.
There already is a reboot every night.
I hate rebooting for many recordings being transferred to the EHD.
Especially so when other recordings still transfer without trouble.
I use the local-into-local recordings mostly and not the OTA.
It might give a 4th tuner but at a cost of large recordings.

For me, just fix the EHD so that it both sees it without me unplugging and replugging it all and then not have transfers get hung up. Me, too, butplease don't jinx it, but I don't have OTA problems.
I believe Chris36 is referring to the OTA channels all of a sudden not pulling in the picture or sound when tuning to the stations, the channel info is there on the banner--I also have this issue and the only way I can correct it is do a Red button reset.
Throw me in there with these issues as well. I actually unplugged the ota module out of anger last Sunday
. Plugged it back in and it was pulling in the stations again. I also don't get why when the signal drops into the 50's you lose the channel. Shouldn't it still be able to pull it in?
Yes that's what I'm referring to the picture goes black and no audio either. This happen when the first Hopper came out in 2012 until they did a software update then it was fine.
I guess I am lucky. I just un-plugged the OTA Dongle and plugged it back in and did not have any issues since. That was a couple of months ago.

Oh wow. Apps not loading. Compared to all the other more impactful issues, lower priority...unless this is just one of the things they "fixed" and there is much more in that update. I'll be patient and play the wait-and-see game again.
Dish, just like ALL companies who put out s/w updates, NEVER give details on every item they fix, feature they add, etc. Also, in my experience with Dish, they don't put out an update that fixes just one issue, especially a non-critical one like this. It's an inconvenience (to some), yes, but not that big of a deal.
That said, is this the first acknowledgement of the problem from Dish ? All I kept seeing was people being told "wait, it can take a day or two or longer before they start working" - that all came from other users too, NOT from Dish people.
I can tell you there are more fixes then just apps loading.
