I was assured by CSR today that the fix was scheduled to start rolling out tomorrow 1/16/2017 or soon.

and you believe everything the CSRs tell you because?????? CSRs are the last to know anything..... But they do tell you what you want to hear! ;)

UPDATE - Ray (Dirt) posted update was still on the schedule yesterday but when he came in to work today it now shows update re-scheduled for end of next week - as usual, Scott knows his stuff.

Must have issues that need to be resolved.

....or WHAT!!!! OH NOOOOOOOO!

10th. 14th. 16th. 17th. 24th.......

Why am I filled more with dread than hope?

Just FIX what you BROKE and release no "improvements" until you KNOW they don't break anything else. The bywords for future practice must be Regression testing.

Agree wholeheartedly with you!

Please, please Dish, let some of us "regular" customers that use our hoppers everyday pre-test updates for usability before rolling out to the masses of people that have no idea how to take advantage of their dvr's features. Would save in customer support time & frustration for all.

For the first time in the 15+ years that I've had DISH, it's starting to feel like what those folks around the country say about Comcast and what it's like to have them.

AMEN!!! If only I could "like" that post more than once.

IMO, if they cant figure out how to fix this mess in a timely manner, just give us back the software version before the HDMI-CEC debacle that started all of this, and THEN figure out how to make it work and try again. :tsk:

Y'all missed the key point. The CSR said January 16, 2017, or sooner. That's three years from now. Technically, they'd be correct. :D

To back up what others have said, a CSR does not have a resource that shows when the next software update will be run. What they can access, is something known as a "Known Product Issues" list, that will show an ETR (estimated time of repair). That has been shown as 1/16/14 the last few days for many of the issues folks here are having.

HWS S332 exists as of this morning. My guess is it's being rolled out to employees and such first on a limited basis. I'm not really sure what's in it, my guess is bug fixes for some of the issues that have popped up since 330. I haven't had any issues with my EHD or OTA so I couldn't speak to whether or not those have been addressed. From what I've read, those seemed like the biggies. Any smaller stuff such as icons not showing I wouldn't notice anyways and to me are minor inconveniences. If there's anything specific somebody wants to know I'd be willing to scroll through the menus when I have a little time, but it likely won't be until Sunday pm.

I'd LOVE to know if the protected icons came back, the ones that used to appear next to a recording in the DVR list to denote that you had it protected.

I know I want them back. Especially the saved icon and the % watched bar (without having to go to More Info). They had them before so it's not like this is heavy lifting to put back. And I would bet the icons are still resident on the Hopper somewhere!

DishAnywhere is (NOT) busted for MAC's. (Update - OS Issue not DISH issue)

Hopper with sling improvements
