Yes, 576i can be selected for conversion.

Please provide the channel location and parameters. We will confirm the channel's reception.

Brian,

Dee_Ann was asking for a PDF owners manual for the microHD, maybe this is not possible at this time.

Since we are up to 91 pages on this thread, and it very hard to keep score by not reviewing all of the requests, questions and aswers, how about a prerelease PDF specification sheet for the microHD.

I am sure that many of us would be very happy to get a peek of all the things that this desireable receiver has to offer, without having to reread all of the pages and dicifer all of this loooooong thread.

Thank You.

I don't know if this has been asked. How sensitive is the remote. does it have to be pointed at the receiver? My Sonicveiw Elite almost acts like a UHF remote and very responsive. My Openbox could be improved alot. Is the EPG useful or almost useless?

No, but did we mention that it has been certified as a cup heater and will keep a cup a Joe at a nice temp all day! We are considering applying for the Top Ramen certificate if the licensing is not too high... ;)
I thought it was only the wall wart that got warm.... It sure is nice to have a dc TV, NEW Computer (12V cord),LED back light; DVD player AND !!!!!! a Sat receiver coming out soon with 12V cord. Inverter stays off! YEAH

The microHD manual is being rewritten and new screen shots due to the recent change to the new firmware SDK. A very basic 16 page owners manual is provided with the STB and a larger more detailed manual / install guide will be available for download.

SattliteAV, it's on G-16 bird....

They call themself channel Saulom, and the freqs: 11.801 H

The signal strenth, here in New Mexico is in low 70%

a few days ago brian said there was another weeks delay with new firmware i think. that would make it available around april fools day. i don't think that was on purpose though. it just works out that day. if it doesn't come soon, i will have to put the solomend with the big tv for the wife. she will get the 6' and i will keep the 8' down in the basement to play with. i have to use the dsr200 for the time being. not too much time to play with it though. much garden work to do right now. charlie

I thought I remembered Shalom showing up as 576i on my Openbox S9 with the hacked S10/S9 firmware, but when I re-checked tonight, it showed up as 720p. But it looked a little jerky, so I recorded a sample of it and played it back with VLC. It does indeed show up as 1280x720. The strange part is, the frame rate is shown as 119.880119! If I assume that this is a mis-calculation due to being progressive instead of interlaced, the frame rate comes to 59.9400595.

N5XZS,

Confirming reception of G16 - Shalom TV with the microHD. Also confirm that the STB displays the resolution as 720p, but the image has no detectable stutter.

Are you feeling giddy yet, Brian? Giddyup!

Had a complication with the surgery, so am flat on my back with some major discomfort.

Lightened up on the meds, so the unicorns left today, but a few swirls of tie dye colors remain...... Have a big LCD mounted at the foot of my bed, a microHD running a motorized KU dish and connected to a PC....... Been able to correct and confirm 99% of our team's testing results. Have an occasional USALS "Out of Range" error that is irritating me right now.

Overall quite happy with the new GUI, features and functions. Only a few more typos to clean up. Should make final firmware for SMT on Monday!

BTW.... OSD Closed Captioning has been implemented. Next version will allow changes to the CC font, size , color, etc. We have an international customer flying in next week on their way home from the Satellite 2012 show to live test the OSD CC. Looks like the HDMI Closed Captioning OSD feature has caught some attention! :D

First major OEM order??? Wish us luck!!! This is what pays the bills and foots the cost (subsidizes) for the development of the hobbyist specialized features.
