Everybody thought when Pruitt bailed on FSU because of his woman issues that good defense would go with him. Yeah, not so much. First off, it is jimbos defense, secondly Uga doesn't have the talent FSU did on defense.
A lot of parity in the SEC this season. It will be quite a feat for any one team to go undefeated this season.
I just laugh when a team beats an obviously weaker opponent and everyone props em up. Clemson was spotty last year and they are worse this year.

The SEC East has baffled ESPN ever since Tebow left Florida. Every year they try to call either Georgia or South Carolina to win it and every year one or the other is a bust.
Speaking of Florida, they are tied with Kentucky at half 3-3. Muschamp's seat is warming up as we speak.

Florida should hire a better head coach and demote Muschamp to DC. He's pretty good at that.
Our defense has been solid even with our dismal season last year. Sure toward the end of the year it looked bad but those guys were so demoralized who can blame them. Muschamp just cant seem to get this team right. With 4 OCs and multi other coaches since he has been here you have to wonder if Jeremy Foley will finally realize maybe its not the OC and other assistant coaches?

Yep. Just when you hear Ga will be all world with Pruitt as DC, SC gets into a scoring battle by running between the tackles!

Keeping thinking the SEC is still something special. You say "parody". its actually weak. Just like the ACC and B1G. There is a parody among conferences, period.
As far as Pruitt facing weak offenses, the fact is his defense at FSU held several ACC teams to less than 20 pts, and less than 10, which is a great result regardless. FSU curb stomped Clemson and the answer was they werent that good, then they beat OSU in a BCS game. FSU curb stomped Duke in the ACC Champ game which everyone laughed at, then A&M barely beat Duke in the bowl game.
FSU's D performed better against the run in the champ game vs Auburn than Bama did in the Iron Bowl. The fact is Pruitt did well at FSU because of the system they implemented and the talent they had (several guys in the NFL now). You really think the Gamecocks Offense is above mediocre? Yeah, no. What you are seeing is Pruitt doesnt have the talent at UGA that he did at FSU, period.
Look at what teams have put the most guys in the NFL in the last 5 years.
