I love those types of games (they set up an awesome season if you win them big).

Plus, Alabama seems to have no problems with them. If you expect to be a big dog, then do what the big dogs do and win.

Looks like West Virginia getting ready for July 1 when they officially enter the Big 12.

That is true.

I would prefer a home and home. No doubt.

I also have no problem with a big neutral site game. I rarely hear fans of the other team complain, unless they lose a few of them.

They set your season up, and have been kind to Bama. So get after it.

Kinda kills it for traveling fans for a neutral game site IMO... its one thing to charge what a home field would for ticket prices but last time I went to FedEX field (which VT plays at AGAIN) it cost me well over $300 for everything - ticket was nearly $100 and that is damn insane!!! So glad for an opening home field big game this year that it should be a packed house rockin Labor day night!

Like everything else going to top level FBS football games is not cheap anymore. Figuring in food and everything, $300 is about what I paid per person to go to a couple of home games at Stillwater last year. OU is not cheap either, about the only games you are going to get something for less than a $100 are the first couple of games against FCS or mid major schools. The late date of guaranteeing WVU to the Big 12 schedule has made the home schedules pretty weak this season. You can get OSU tickets for Savannah State and ULL for less than $30, most games will be in the $75-$90 range if you get them now. OU tickets for Florida A/M will be in the $60-75 range and everything else will be $100 except OSU and Notre Dame games, those will be in the $200-$300 range and most definitely more by game day.

It is the same way at Bama. Big name games, no matter where they are played, are going to be expensive. Iron Bowl tickets can go for $500 in the stands most years, can go much higher the closer you get to the field, or if you get in one of the Boxes or the "ZONE". Penn State tickets a couple of years ago were that high. No doubt if the Michigan game were in Tuscaloosa they would command a high price as well.

Regardless, Gumps are going to head to Arlington, and it will be a new experience for those that haven't been in that stadium, it's something else. They'll love the atmosphere.

It will be also prepare Saban's newbies for their upcoming trip to Death Valley this year to get their asses handed to them. :D

yep, Go Dawgs! ;)

The dawgs look to be a huge threat this year. GA and FLA both to be back in top contending form it seems. Add fairly new comer S Carolina to the mix. The east will be a 3 way slug fest (Not to mention Tenn with its possible 1st rounder QB being healthy) Its going to be a fun season.

Then you have the west with LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, and Auburn all with great classes coming into the mix.

Certainly 8 teams in the SEC that could go head to head and be a favorite against almost any team in Div 1.

While I hate to rush time and I want to enjoy summer, Can't wait for college football to start!

Amen just having Baseball sucks at this time though I love Baseball even though Hockey and Basketball are ending in a week to week and a half :)

No real shock that they would. I am a little surprised that TCU has not paid it, when most reports online and in the news were that they did agree to do so.

I'm surprised they didn't wait until July 1. TCU is still officially a member of the MWC and would not have entered the Big East and will not enter the Big 12 until July 1.

Whether they agreed to it on not when they first agreed to join the Big East, it doesn't surprise me that they would try to get that number reduced, since they didn't play a game or participate in any conference activities.
