They are not a BCS school plain and simple. Same goes to all of the independents out there.

Boise is actually in the Mountain West, which does not have an AQ.

Then do away with the mighty sec. The conferences were given AQ status to determine the best team from the each conference. If winning your conference has no meaning, do away with them.

If you have the best team in the country in your conference...you get penalized for having the best 2 teams in the country? Thats dumb and bias against a super strong conference.

All other BCS games mean nothing. The only one that matters is the NCG. I personally don't care if the SEC or Big 10 has 5 teams in the other BCS games. The only reason there is a rule with those are the schools don't want to lose their share of the bowl money.

No, if you have a second team that didn't win their conference but were still ranked high enough, they could take said conferences BCS bowl spot as compensation to the bowl for giving up it's higher seed.

Yea but you are not looking for the best team in the country to play in the title game. The Best team would be LSU who won there conference. The argument is who is the 2nd best team in the country to play against LSU...

If there is only one best team in a conference, how can number two not be better than any other top team in a weaker conference?
Nobody is ignoring it, i just havent seen anyone explain why against it.
