NCAA Football 2011-2012

Oh ok so every game they won against teams that won't get a bowl game if they needed that win will suffer along with them...nice!

It's a shame this hurts other players, teams, fans and whatever in this way... its a shame you can't give back wins so those teams can be bowl bound.
Bowl bound without deserving it you mean (which seems to be an ongoing theme in your posts).

IMO, if you can get a scenario where a team like W Virgina (or whoever wins the big easy) this year would get a chance to play over a team like Bama or Ark, then I want no part of it.
Want that? Watch the pros.

The NCAA handed down the penalties for the current players in the OSU case as well. I don't think they have handed down the school punishment in Miami's case either. This is the piece that OSU is still waiting on.

Thats what I was referring to, I though what Salsa said was it, they were done, maybe not.

Then why not Boise again?
Yeah they are not in a BCS conference, but not everyone can be, and not everyone has control over that. They are in a conference. They might win it, and arguably it is a better conference than the joke that is the Big East at this point.
.

They are not a BCS school plain and simple. Same goes to all of the independents out there.

That is my point, not everyone can be a "BCS" school. Does not mean they might not be better than those that are.
There are only so many BCS slots open, and the conferences control that for the most part.

There are many perennial bottom dwellers in BCS conferences that have no business sniffing the shoes of some that are in "lesser" conferences.
For the most part, the conferences get it right in the BCS, but just being in those conferences should not be the be all end all, nor should be winning or not winning said conference versus winning one far weaker (such as the Big East).

Only point is there needs to be some major changes and there will never be a scenario that everybody would be happy. My option is only one of many. Not one of them will fit all needs.

It is what it is.. do you think I'd like to see VT win out and have to play that W Virginia team?? Hell no... I'd rather they make a statement by playing a bigger team like Bama and Ark...win or lose at least they stepped up and played it out on the field but you can't change that and right now you should have to win you're Conf to get in a BCS Bowl game ----- NOW you could argue that even if you won you could be counted out if you're not in the top 25, you could add that clause into the mix.

Thing is, right now, you dont have to win the conference to play for the NC game.
It is what it is.
Now you could argue that that shouldnt be, but as you say, again, it is what it is.

what do you mean why? think about it.... would the best team in the country be the best if they didn't win their own conference?? That's like you going out saying you are the best fighter in the world yet you can't win a local city fight.

Yet everyone in that city fight might beat any other fighter in any other city.
To exclude them because of the competition that they perform against each week is crazy IMO. And that is essentially what you are wanting to do.

Just as crazy as allowing a team compete against a team they have already lost to for the title.

Big East Expansion?

When will Ohio State get the final resolution from the NCAA?
