NCAA Football 2011-2012

TCU had not officially joined the Big East for competition so they only had to pay the $5 million exit fee. They were not bound to the 27 month notice since they are still in the Mountain West this season.

If they had not "Officially" joined the Big East, then they shoudn't have to pay the EXIT fee either.

Exactly, the contract they signed had a penalty clause in case they backed out of the deal, which was all they had to pay. Therefore they were never bound by any of the Big East bylaws.

Yep, this will be the story now. The Big East is saying their 27 month notice is airtight and WV is adamant they are playing in the Big 12 next season, which means $$$$$ to get out early.

I hope Pitt pays extra to get out next year.

So do I, love to see my Jackets come up north more often :D Hopefully they put Pitt into the Coastal, so they play up here every other year, instead of the Atlantic like Maryland, where I can only see they every 5 years.

Wow, those Ohio State uni's are FUGLY!!

Are they those Nike ROBOT uni's?

After watching more, I think the helmets are the worst part. Can't live without the silver helmets with the Buckeye stickers!

Duke's no pushover. They're a damn good team, don't you know that? ;)

ugg... don't even get me started on this sloppy game. Duke took advantage of all the stupid mistakes VT did today and to be honest I'm sick of watching the same play calling over and over - predictable for sure and I'm also sure salsa or anyone else would agree with that. A win is a win but damn they gotta do something in two weeks before playing GT...same GT that is beating the piss out of Clemson right now.
Being out a bunch of starters and top play makers on Defense obviously isn't making things any better either but someone has to step up.

Needless to say it hurt even watching today's game.

Well, with K-State losing, VT will probably jump up to their spot in the BCS.

Well as much as I hate to see them move up after today's crappy game... they will prob end up at #10 since MichSt went down and K-State as they were 12th and those two teams were both 11th and 8th. I really don't think they deserve the jump by no means after what I saw today...glad they got two weeks to work on EVERYTHING!

I feel somewhat the same, I could keep the uni's IF they took the NUMBER off the helmet and but the Buckeye leaves back on.

Yes, they are the Nike Combat Uni's.

3 missed Field Goals by Duke and they could of beat VT.... Ya VT is a powerhouse.....

Clemson falls to GATech. Does not mean Clemson is still not good, GaTech is not a horrible team and big conference games are always ripe for the upset. But that knocks the ACC out of any national title hopes.

So who will it be lsu/bama vs Stanford? Ill love to see Luck go up against a real defense. Might change the minds of some of those "suck for luck" people.

Duke played good but VT played sloppy as hell... They are much better than what they showed in that game and it makes me pissed to even think about but you can't excuse their records throughout the FBS so not sure why the "Ya VT is a powerhouse.." comment came about.

Ohh and from Frank Beamer yesterday about the game...a game which many teams have from time to time:
"Every week's not going to be just magnificent, and this week certainly wasn't magnificent for us," coach Frank Beamer said. "But sometimes when you can get through a game when it wasn't so good and get a win, that's big in the big picture."

As for Clemson and GT... Clemson is good but GT has that damn triple option they run and its very hard to defend against even if you are ready. Funny though that it wasn't 6 mins into the game and they were already called for a Chop Block which is what they gotta do when pushing to the side for that Option..something they were confronted about in 2009 the same year they had to vacate wins from and the ACC title.

A LSU/Bama vs Stanford may happen but don't forget about Okla ST they are in the mix and Boise St even more so now that Clemson went down.
