Good game.. both teams played well.

I have no idea what game you saw....but you need some serious corrective glasses of some kind.

On 2 occassion, Miami stopped them on either 3rd down(roughing the passer) and then had them punt(roughing the kicker)...after that, they scored TDs on those possessions. Not to mention, the 'Canes inside the UVA 15 yard line and on 1st down...Jacory went back to pass, the ball just slips out of his hands....untouched by a defender...for a fumble to kill the drive.

No...the 'Canes did not play well. You are blinded by the final score and oblivious to what led to it.

I don't know what your talking about.. Miami played good ball and made a few mistakes but so did UVA. Now did UVA take advantage more of those mistakes YES they sure did! Which team played better....UVA of course they even won but you already know this. Miami is a hard team to play for anyone always has always will be. I think the main concern here is for them to win 2 games out of 4 they have left for a bowl game...but lookin at who they play including Boston College who may have a losing record bad right now could turn itself around with a awesome guy leading their defense.

Wow.... A few mistakes... ?! And what mistakes did UVA make..they had no TOs!

Never mind...not gonna waste my breath... In this case, my thumb.

Big East: West Virginia leaving for Big 12 - College Football - Rivals.com
There they go.

The Big 12 on Friday invited West Virginia to join the league next season, giving the conference a replacement for Missouri and dealing another setback to the beleaguered Big East.

"The Big 12 Presidents and Chancellors are excited to welcome another outstanding institution to the Conference," said Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis, the chairman of the Big 12 board of directors.

"The addition of West Virginia, while expanding the reach of the Big 12, brings an impressive institution with esteemed academics and a proud athletic tradition into the Conference. This is another step in building a strong foundation for the future of the Big 12."

Big 12 moving on without Missouri
The Big 12 apparently is counting on Missouri to be in the SEC next season. In the school's release today announcing that West Virginia is joining the league, there is no mention of Missouri as a Big 12 school for the 2012-2013 season.
"Beginning with the 2012-13 season it is expected that the Big 12 Conference will be comprised of 10 Universities - Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech and West Virginia. The Big 12's footprint will encompass five states with over 36 million people. More than 4,100 student-athletes from across the United States and around the World compete annually in the 23 sports sponsored by the Conference."No word yet from the SEC or Mizzou today.Read more: Big 12 moving on without Missouri

SEC responds to premature welcome of Mizzou on web site
Share Mizzou's move to the Southeastern Conference has seemed inevitable for days, so much so that the SEC prepared an extensive news release announcing MU's membership dated Oct. 22 that inexplicably briefly popped up on its website late Thursday night before being replaced by "that article is missing."Under the heading, "Tiger Tracks: Missouri Joins The SEC," the five-part statement was detailed and said MU would begin full membership along with Texas A&M on July 1, 2012.The SEC issued a brief statement Friday morning through Twitter."Web vendor made mistake. No agreement between SEC and Missouri."At least not just yet.The snafu comes at a time when MU is in the process of intricate, perhaps delicate, negotiations with the Big 12 over such issues as exit fees and timing of its departure.

The Big 12 has said it doesn't believe MU could leave until 2013 and wants assurance of having 10 members in 2012 in order to meet contractual obligations for its football television packages. The release referred to commissioner Mike Slive announcing Mizzou's membership on Monday, presumably meaning Oct. 24 but possibly meaning Oct. 31, and extols the virtues of Mizzou. That included highlights of its football and men's basketball history, mentions of its distinguished alumni and the fact it would be the SEC's fourth member of the distinguished American Association of Universities. It also outlined historical ties between MU and the SEC.Read more: SEC responds to premature welcome of Mizzou on web site

It just occurred to me that with Missou joining the SEC, the Tigers of Missou will frequently have to play the Tigers of LSU. Should be confusing for the radio audience. Reminds me of BYU playing Houston in the Cougar Bowl.

Don't forget about the Auburn Tigers. ;)

Must-see games this weekend:

12:00PM Missouri-Texas A&M, FX
3:30PM Oklahoma-Kansas State, ESPN
3:30PM Baylor-Oklahoma State, ABC
8:00PM Stanford-USC, ABC

Not a great weekend, except for the Big 12...down seek for the SEC with LSU and Alabama both off, preparing for next week's annual 'game of the century'...painful leaving off Georgia-Florida at the World's Largest Cocktail Party, but football-wise it just doesn't cut it...I calls 'em like I sees 'em!

Bragging rights for the best team to leave the conference this year.

Nah, most radio announcers around here use the name of the school. Shouldnt be an issue.

So now that the West Virginia move to the Big 12 is official, how much is it gonna cost West Virginia to get out of the Big East by next season. I'm guessing in the 15-18 million area.

Well the Big East was talking about increasing the amount to 10mill to exit but WVA may have gotten out before that took full effect and that would mean 5Million. I think the fans stand to lose more than anything considering the distances many will have to travel to see their team play and I've never seen WVA travel well even as close to teams they have been going to.

The exit fee is there no matter when they leave. What he was talking about is the clause that they have to give two years notice or some such thing. The Big East was pretty adamant about that. If they play in the big twelve next season it will cost them more than the exit fee.

Yep, this will be the story now. The Big East is saying their 27 month notice is airtight and WV is adamant they are playing in the Big 12 next season, which means $$$$$ to get out early.

Didn't TCU just move to the big east and out without as much as showing up, no 27 month quota there ....
Or was it another conference they moved into and out over a weekend ?

TCU had not officially joined the Big East for competition so they only had to pay the $5 million exit fee. They were not bound to the 27 month notice since they are still in the Mountain West this season.

Big East Expansion?

When will Ohio State get the final resolution from the NCAA?
