NCAA Football 2009-10 Season

This was our first mega-day of college football.

Not just the USC/OSU thriller, but you also had:

Houston surprising Oklahoma State in a high-scoring game

The unexpected shootout between South Carolina and Georgia

Notre Dame and Michigan in a thriller

I think that the Buckeyes run the most boring, conservative offense in ALL of college football! They have this extremely talented kid at QB and a stud WR and they just refuse to release the reins.

Yep. I guess Terrelle Pryor is not all that. You gotta wonder what would have happened if Tressel had any balls and had gone for it on 4th goal in the 2nd qtr. Could have been 19-18.

Or chose to kick a long field goal , like we were all expecting, would have been about 52 yards, Petrey is well capable of doing that.
Instead he punted them down inside the 10 .... can't blame him for that, the D played great till the last drive, they had good pressure and made Barkly uncomfortable .... until ... they changed Defense and decided to play PREVENT on the last drive.
What a stupid move that was, they had NO PRESSURE on him the last drive .... and the safety's dropped WAY deep and they picked them apart with throws that were 5-10 yards over the line.

I blame Tressel for this one, that said, the Bucks had PLENTY of opportunities in the second half and only came away with a field goal.

When the O line gave adequate time to throw, Pryor hit his guy's.

My nominee for the most boring, conservative offense in college football- Virginia Tech.

Actually it was 106,000....
Don't know how they do that either seeing they pack the place every week with STO people, the attendance should be the same as always, and there was still tickets available for the game on Stub Hub earlier.

If they didn't get it USC would have been backed up and Ohio St would likely get it back with good field position. To me that's a no brainer, especially if you're at home. What's gutsy was Pete Carroll going for it 2 mins into the game, on the road. No guts no glory. That's why USC is who they are, and why Ohio St is what they are.
Ya right

Going for it 2 minutes into the game is a NO BRAINER, you've got the rest of the night to catch up if you don't make it.

Yeah but you guys talk about him like he's better than Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy combined. Any other team that has a stud QB doesn't harnass him in a 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense.

You never heard ME say he was better than any of them you mentioned.
Remember, people are comparing him to Vince Young, but Young was not very good or dominating until his senior year (or last year, don't remember if he came out early or not)

Regardless of what you think about the QB or coach, you've got to admit it was a great game.

Don't know who your talking to, but if it's me, YES, it was a very good game.
Thats TWO Very good games in a row for the Bucks vs Top teams (Texas).

They lost both games, but they are playing better.

Again, I don't know why the decided to change the Defense that shut them down thru the majority of the game on the last drive.
USC didn't suddenly figure it out on the last drive.

Why's that surprising? South Carolina lost anyway, so it wasn't an upset.

What surprised me was the way the game was played- a 41-37 shootout. Normally, their games are very low-scoring.

The outcome didn't surprise me- still, who would have thought the Gamecocks would score 37 points?

Sounds to me like Pete Carroll thinks that Pryor is the real deal and was pretty impressed with him.
