NCAA Football 2009-10 Season

Wow not surpriseing that OSU lost. They cant seem to put away the big games. It is surpriseing how they didnt get blown out. Although USCs offense could not seem to find anything that worked. Barkley looked rattled most of the game but in the end I think he finnaly came through. Was OSUs defense that good, or is USCS offense just that new?

I really hope USC runs the tables this year, and Texas loses. Id love for a FLA vs USC championship. To many USC fans talking smack all over the UF board on ESPN.coms website, id love to finnally shut them up.

I wouldn't bank on USC running the table just yet. California will give them a good game, and Washington (believe it or not) has vastly improved over last year with their revamped program. Broke their losing streak last night and could've possibly upset LSU last week if not for two untimely mistakes on offense. Locker is the real deal. Hopefully USC will go down before the year is over. They would've gone down last night if Tressell had a testicle or two.

I attended the Cincinnati game - they looked damn good in their stomping of little Southeast Missouri, 70-3 and could've been worse. Another BCS bowl for them this year?

I hope another team goes down as well - not to shut them up, just to see them eat a nice fat crow burger. I won't say who it is - I'll let y'all guess.

Just one more reason people have little use for Ohio St.

From my perch high in the press box at Ohio State on Saturday night, I was looking around the interior of the always-wondrous Horseshoe when I noticed something peculiar. On the facade beneath the upper deck of the north end zone, the school lists seven national championship seasons. One of them is 1970.
Some quick research reveals that in 1970, the Buckeyes finished second behind Texas in the coaches poll ... and fifth in the AP poll (which crowned Nebraska). According to the treasure trove that is College Football Data Warehouse, the title that Ohio State so proudly displays was bestowed by the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame -- and even that one was shared with Texas.
Hey, as long as you're at it, Buckeyes, why not tack on 1969? No love for Matthews Grid Ratings? And what about that '73 banner from Foundation for the Analysis of Competitions and Tournaments? There's still plenty of room on that wall.

Nice going. Why not claim the 2006 and 2007 championships too?

Please if his season is anything near the last few he will hold dam near every single SEC record possible. Most Rushing Yards, Most Rushing TDS, Most passing Tds, Most consecutive passing and rushing tds. Perhaps 2 time heisman winner (well see how the year goes) 3 (well see how the year goes) national titles under his belt. I mean who else can claim such acculades? Not to mention the guy is an honor student.

I mean hate the gators or not you can not deny what he has accomplished. Be tired all all the "teabow talk" all you want his numbers and his off the field record speak for themselves.

Here is a list of his records (although a bit old)

I don't hate the Gators, I just get amused by overconfident fans. Based on quite a few of your posts I assumed the Gators already won the MNC and Tebow was told he'd be given the Heisman this year no matter what. ;)

I've been a college football fan for over 40 years, and one thing I know is that nothing is certain. Expecting a team to win a championship without a doubt not only may lead to disappointment, but possibly having to eat your words. That said, seeing the Gators lose won't make me cry. :)
