NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

I think the bloodletting in Norman was enough to keep voters from putting Tech too high in the rankings, even if they do wind up facing and beating Mizzou.
I agree, I think they are out of it, even if they do win the conference. That was just to much of a beating

But what it should come down to is wins and losses. If this scenario happens, what sense does it make to reward Texas by sending them to the National Championship by passing over the only team to beat them, who also has only 1 loss?

This sort of thing happened in 2000. Both Miami and Florida St went 10-1 and Miami beat FSU, but it was the Seminoles who went to the NC instead of Miami.

Yeah, but does TT jump Texas in the BCS Standings if they win the Big XII Championship? With quality wins over Texas, Oklahoma St. AND Missouri, it would be tough to not rank them in the top 2.

Do they have an chance to move ahead of Texas or Oklahoma in the BCS? They would have to too play in the conference championship.
Living between Lawrence and Manhattan, I also find it strange, that at 69 Bill Snyder is going back to coaching. Must be bored and no longer burnt out.:D

What should happen and what does happen rarely go hand in hand in college football.

Texas Tech cannot move ahead of Texas in the BCS unless Texas gets in and loses the Big 12 championship.:D The scenario where OSU beats OU is not far fetched. And getting into the Big 12 championship is a long way from winning the championship. Right now Missouri and Texas Tech have as good a chance of going to the BCS as Oklahoma and Texas.:D

Ah. The unbeaten College Football team that no one is talking about....

7:00 PM ET Western Michigan at No. 15 Ball State

And Ball State's reward for going undefeated....a December trip to sunny Pontiac, Michigan for the Motor City Bowl. Although, I guess that's not as bad as Boise State who could finish in the top 10 and play at home in the Humanitarian Bowl.

With a Blue field, whadya' think they would play Oklahoma in some exotic bowl.:D:D

Actually they could go to the GMAC bowl, I think, at least thats farther south and a decent weather location.

Honestly, thats not a bad place to go for a game, they put on a show. I know its not the best "bowl", and not up to the standards of an undefeated team, but it is a good atmosphere for a bowl game

Ball State has run the table and is undefeated!

And before anyone asks me- NO, I do not see Buffalo putting up a fight in the MAC title game.

It'll be as lopsided as the Texas Tech-Oklahoma State game.

We could only be as lucky to have another Akron/Buffalo OT game. If the MAC title game has any resemblance, I would be thrilled!

Doak Walker Award (best RB in country) were announced today, and Donald Brown was NOT a finalist, which I'm sure will send hancox into a rage.

IMO, Knowshown Moreno may be the most overrated player in the country. In the two biggest games of the year, against Florida and Alabama, he did NOTHING.

He mopped up against the little guys, but did nothing against the big boys.
