NCAA Football 2007-08

The season gets closer. A week from today I'll be getting on a plane to California to go watch the Vols kick some golden bear ass! This week can't go fast enough!

What, nobody crowing about the Big East superteams beating up on the bottom feeders? I'll be back as soon as U of M gets done mopping the field with Div.IIa champs Appalachian State!;)

Ah Paul....get with the times will ya, they are no longer in the Big East...they ALREADY ESTABLISHED THAT LEAGUE, thank U very much!!!;)

They have a pretty tough schedule this year...I would LOVE a 10-2 season, but it will be a rebuilding year offensively....so like I said before, 8-4 or 9-3!!
Funny...MOST schools would cheat for an 8-4, 9-3 season...to us, that it just re-tooling!!:D

I keep telling you, "The U" should of stayed in the Big East. Your team would of been a powerhouse, now your just a middle of the road team that the other teams walk over to get to the top. Say bye-bye to ever winning another national title.

You're insane. Miami actually managed to downgrade their football conference. Have you watched any ACC football recently? Did you notice WAKE F'ING FOREST won their league last year?

If it weren't for the ACC managing to get the so-called "Big East" rule changed (talk about irony), they would have had their auto bid reviewed already.

Ugh, excuse me, but I assumed everyone knew U of M as MICHIGAN!

GO BLUE!!!!

By the way, how did the Hurricanes recruiting go. Does Michael Vick have any eligibility left? Oh well I'm sure the jails are filled with other potential recruits.;)

Why are you calling me insane? The only reason you are glad that Miami, Vt and BC went to the ACC is for your school to play football in the Big East. The Big East was a better conference with those 3 teams and the teams were better in the Big East.

I don't care how good Uconn, Cincinnati and Usf thinks they are or will be in football teams, they will never be as good as the other 3 when they were in the Big East. The only good addition the Big East acquired was Louisville.

Sure the ACC is one of the worse conferences, and those teams recruit accordingly, but now one any good wants to play in the ACC unless they live in those areas. The Big East is just as bad anymore. you think Uconn has a great recruiting class that they will win the Big East title?

If it wasn't for WVU, Louisville and even Rutgers the Big East would probably lose their BCS bid, you of all people should realize that The Big East now is more of a BB conference then a football conference.

I know my Panthers suck in football, hell I hope they win 7 games this year, but you have to admit that the Big East overall was a better conference with Miami, VT and BC.

That's correct...U of M = Michigan! And the original Miami U has more than 100 Division I wins than the one run by the Florida Board of Prisons.

CY...Cy....cy.....The U will be back.....too much talent in our backyard for Miami never compete for the national championship. And besides, ALL good teams go through their rough patches....everyone just enjoy the down time while you can....LOL

UP NORTH....everyone knows U of M is Michigan....down south...different animal Paul.

And yes, recruiting went very well....thanks for asking. Miami had a very good recruiting season, fulfilling most of their needs and signing ALOT of the local talent. And we don't need to invade our jails....nice try....

Good point CY!! Just like Syracuse, Georgetown and St. John's established the basketball conference in the mid to late '80 in the Big East....those 3 teams(Miami, VaTech and BC) did the same for the football conference. The main reason Miami left the Big East was for basketball reasons. Everyone already knew that Miami was already established as a football power and a baseball power...so they went to the conference that made sense, not only geographically but established as a basketball power....the ACC.

This don't mean SQUAT!! Miami has NEVER won a "recruiting title"..and they have never needed one either... IF winning a recruiting title meant ANYTHING...either Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan would be switching national titles every year....and between the 3....they have only won ONE and that one was questionable as hell....

Oh and by the way...riff...The U has never been known as 'Miami U'...that lame ass title has ALWAYS been Miami of Ohio and will ALWAYS be Miami of Ohio....:D

Do I sense a little jealousy on your part riff??!! Maybe your favorite school should hit the prison on occassion, they might win a championship or two....:up

I have never heard Miami of Ohio being called Miami U .... Coaches corner maybe, but never Miami U.

If I hear someone say U of M, I normally think of Michigan, not Miami ....

Jimbo

Definitely different animal. Growing up in the South, UM was always the University of Miami.

You guys can keep your "Down South" were up here in Big Ten Country.
U of M is Michigan, although I would not be so sure I want to admit it today !!!

Go Buckeyes !!!

Jimbo

This is why they suck

Joe Gibbs retires again
