NCAA College Basketball 2011-12

Does Georgetown still play St. Leo's?

LOL well Boeheim is still Big East old school with the cupcake out of conference schedule this year, but Georgetown has changed under John Thompson III.

In fact, when Georgetown competed in the stacked Maui Classic this year, which included Kansas, Duke, Michigan and UCLA, he joked with his dad (who was there as a Georgetown announcer) that the only time his dad brought Georgetown to Hawaii was to play Hawaii-Hilo!

Stop arguing about strength of schedule. It doesn't matter in the end. They have a tournament to finish the season and if they aren't prepared to beat the good teams then they won't make it.

I don't think anyone was arguing...because I did agree with her point.

She pointed out the weak schedule and that is it.

I'm really feeling my age when announcers call out the names of famous basketball players.....& put "Jr." at the end of it. Today's example is Tim Hardaway,Jr. I KNOW I'll feel old when I watch a baseball game & I hear the name "Ken Griffey,III(otherwise known as "Trey." I looked it up,he does exist).

Nice win by the 'Cuse ...on the road. They are definately the deepest Orangemen basketball I have seen in a very long time. Their zone defense is not as strong as last year..but they are gonna score ALOT of points.

Pffft. NC St stinks. Call me when Syracuse beats anyone of consequence - I'm still not convinced.

Yeah, it was more impressive that Ohio State figured out a way to win at South Carolina, even with Sullinger going out early with an injury. Deshaun Thomas was on fire.

Pitt top recruit goes home, he is getting some bad avice from someone.

Khem Birch is being led in the wrong direction by advisors who do not have his best interests in mind. This is the opinion of Ryan Hurd, the head coach at Notre Dame Prep, where Birch played last season before signing with Pitt.

Starting center Khem Birch, the highest-rated recruit of Jamie Dixon's tenure as Pitt's head coach, left the team Friday night and was en route to his native Canada where he was going to discuss his future with his family.

"Khem is a great kid," Hurd said. "This situation is painting him as something he is not. The problem is he is being led down a road by so-called advisors. It's going to end poorly for Khem, and that is sad for me because I care about the kid. This is not going to end well for him."

Like those powerhouses that UConn has played...like Coppin State, Wagner, Maine, Holy Cross, UNC-Ashville, Columbia and Havard...and the next "tough game" of Fairfield...lol! I did not know the hotel chain HAD a university that qualified for college sports?

I will give you that you played Florida State and Arkansas...but nothing on the road yet.

At least the 'Cuse beat VaTech, Florida, Stanford and NC State on the road.

;)

uconn and their fans think they are always butter than anyone in the big east, at least Pitt and syracuse will be in the ACC soon then uconn can play all those powerhouses that are coming in.

FSU was at a true neutral site in the bahamas, unlike your "road" wins @ MSG against VPI and Stanford, neither of which will likely make the NCAA tourney. There is a good reason I mentioned not leaving the state of NY.

um, because we are? Call me when you don't choke in the NCAA...... again........

Let me get this straight so I am not confused....YOU can question Syracuse's schedule ....but UConn's schedule cannot? Really? Then resort to the above remarks? Seriously?

LMAO! OK....

He can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he may have meant because the way this is typed:

may imply that all those games were on the road. Of course, only the NC State game was a road game.

Sandra

Then that is when you ask as opposed to call someone or something that is said..."a patent lie", I think the quote was. Because I did not lie. The Orangemen HAS beaten those team with a victory @ NC State. And going further, Syracuse has played and beaten teams that have more established basketball programs than UConn and has AND at least played a game on the road.... Something, UConn has not.

goodbye and good riddance.

Vandy with the upset!
