As for them playing against a better team..I agree they should have been against someone in the top 10 but doesn't matter they have time to prepare, no game afterward and so on.. you can ignore that fact all you like but in the last 3-4 years they've played big teams 1 game and that's it. Last two years they played only 1 hard team then even had to take a bi-week off before playing their week schedule....so yeah its possible they could play VT and beat em...but I bet everything I own they couldn't do it every week, week after week against hard teams including those in the ACC. Now that they are moving into a real conference at least you can call it that things will open people's eyes up a little, but keep in mind they no longer have a star QB either.

You obviously don't watch every gameday show like I do, you obviously don't watch all the BCS count down shows like I do, or really just pay attention or smart enough to see that Kirk Herb loves Kellen Moore... hell even a fan in last nights game held a sign up saying "Thank you Kirk for showing us Props!" Yeah so far its been a good game... prob more exciting to watch than the national championship game

No defense has never excited me. I prefer to watch games where teams know how to play both side of the ball. Both LSU and bama have great offenses, its just no one else has stopped them. As the old saying goes, defense wins championships.

If I wanted to watch two defenses go at it to excite me I'd go find two walls facing each other and see which one moves over the next 100 years... blah boring and I have no interest in seeing that - nope last nights game with just Toledo and Airforce was by far more exciting to watch than the first LSU/Bama game... I can only hope for more but not going to hold my breath.

2 big college names playing now, Florida St. and Norte Dame. I give some of these schools credit. They play these bowl games like its the BCS Title Game. They could easily just not show up and get a payday and going to a nice location for the games.

While I love Toledo's high powered offense and good news thier stud WR, Kick Returner, Eric Page announced he'll be coming back for his SR. year ! I would LOVE to see some semblance of a Defense from them, they use to have good defenses, not of late.

Fwiw, you guys that haven't seen Page play, do so if you get a chance next year, he'll be in the NFL draft in 2013, Toledo has done pretty good at placing people in the NFL of late.
Saints Lance Moore is a former Rocket as well, look for more of the same from Page !

This game didn't do much for my scouting of RG3. How does one interpret anything against that type of defense? My gawd!!

however you wish to look at it - it was very fun and entertaining to watch. Games like this is what fans and people that watch it want - give them some action on both sides, defenses making picks and scores etc... Offenses running the scores up!

I prefer a game where Defense is NOT OPTIONABLE. They have to at least make it off the plane and to the stadium.

Lol , I was thinking the same thing.

There was defense in name of the opposite 11 only. I'd have much rather seen a more balanced game than that.

Just because alot of points were scored doesn't mean there wasn't any good defense - just means there was awesome offense. You have two forces working against each other at diff times. But again I'll stand here and point right to that game and others that so far I've been more excited to watch them than the previous meeting of LSU and Bama... I hope diff from this next one but I won't hold my breath. Hell tonights game of UVA and Auburn should be very entertaining... UVA has become a very good team this year in top 10 of defenses in the country - but of course they couldn't stop the Hokies from spankin that tail!
