Part of the UF problem is a lot of injuries, other part (and this comes from UF fans) is their OC sucks. Im sure he is gone.

...throw in that Miami has done a great job of recruiting the state again(majority of UF, FSU and UM rely heavily on the state's recruits) AND FSU's being back to national championship prominence, UF is no longer hogging all of the best kids in the state.

Louisville reaches agreement on AAC exit

The school and league said in a joint announcement that an agreement has been reached for the Cardinals to join the ACC starting July 1, 2014. But there is quite a back story to this exit. ESPN.com's Brett McMurphy reports that Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich took a huge gamble back in 2011, when he informed then-commissioner John Marinatto his school planned to depart -- despite not having a new conference home at that time.

It wasn't until 2012 that Louisville was invited to join the ACC. That gamble ended up saving Louisville $4 million in exit fees.

Yes we have a huge injury problem we lost about 9 of our core players mainly offense but also a big loss on defense our leader.

As far as Brent Pease goes our OC. I am not sure if he is the problem or Will is the problem. Is Brent really that bad? Or is Muschamp holding him pack and forcing him into some ground and pound game that is not Brents style?

The addition of Louisville into the ACC is a good thing, far better choice than Syracuse IMO with better facilities all around. The issue I have is where they are going in what division as I've not heard and how does that screw up the schedules again much like it did last year with forcing teams to go right back to where they played last year.

The postings about Winston are just lame and something that didn't flair up till he reached the top of the boards for the Heisman which I think he will win even if they don't make it to the national title game or win it.

Yeah, Im watching a couple of pay sites now, its odd.

No idea what actually happened in Dec 2012, but it seems they case was closed Feb 2012, then turned over to the States Attorney today and reopened. Smells fishy to me, but we will just have to wait and let the truth come out. I sure hope he didn't do it, one because Im selfish and he is a good player, two because he has been so genuine it'll be rough to accept he did something like this.

No charges have yet been filed against Winston and the investigation is still active.

According to a statement released by FSU, there is no change in Winston's status. He is expected to play against Syracuse Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Winston, considered a frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy, met with the media on Wednesday but was not permitted to answer questions about non-football related issues.

Tallahassee attorney Tim Jansen is representing Winston and has denied the allegation. Jansen has previously represented FSU running back James Wilder Jr.

Jansen spoke with Noles247.com on Wednesday evening about the situation.

"My understanding is TPD says it's now open and it's in investigative stages," Jansen said of the case. "I'm was kind of surprised. It's been closed since February. So yes, it is surprising."

As for the timing of the news grabbing headlines on Wednesday, that was unexpected per Winston's attorney.

"None whatsoever," Jansen said when asked if he expected this news to come down today.

According to a heavily redacted TPD report, the complaint was filed on Dec. 7, 2012.

The report does not mention Winston by name. It describes the suspect as a black, muscular male between 5-9 and 5-11 and weighing 240 pounds. Winston is listed by FSU as 6-3, 228.

It states that the report was received at 4:43 a.m., and that the incident allegedly occurred between 1:30 and 2 a.m.

The official charge is “Sex Assault – Victim over 12 years of age – physical force no damage.”

According to Jansen, Winston has not been interviewed or questioned by TPD.

"We are cooperating with law enforcement," Jansen said. "We provided witness affidavits today."

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM FLORIDA STATE:
We are aware of a matter that was investigated by the Tallahassee Police Department almost a year ago. Because the investigation has not been closed by TPD, we cannot comment further at this time. We look forward to a speedy resolution of the issue. There is no change in Jameis Winston’s status. Coach Jimbo Fisher and Jameis will be answering questions about football only until there is a resolution.

It was my understanding that Louisville was going to be in the Coastal Division.

Lotta fishy things about it though, and supposedly Winston is talking to media as usual after todays practice. Doesnt add up, and he is never named in the police report. It just sounds like he was questioned, and someone leaked the deal to TMZ. Was 11 months ago...
A year long investigation already? Are they using the same investigators the NCAA used for Miami?

With it taking this long, makes me think there's little to no evidence (ie. he said, she said).

Louisville is replacing Maryland in the Atlantic division and will also take their place as Virginia permanent cross-division opponent. No fuss no muss with the schedules.

Personally I'd like them to redo the divisons (ala the Big Ten) and go to a North-South split. And get rid of the permanent cross-over opponent, since their really arn't any big cross-over rivalries in that split, with possible exceptions for Wake Forest.

North
Syracuse (football only - does not play baseball)
Boston College
Pitt
Virginia Tech
Virginia
Notre Dame (baseball only - does not participate in football)
Wake Forest
Louisville

South
Duke
North Carolina
NC State
Clempson
Ga Tech
FSU
Miami

First I've heard of this.

At face value I'd argue against having to be forced to move while everyone else stands still.
But seeing how our biggest rivals in the ACC are Clempson and FSU. Next would be Virginia, which they'd probably give us as a cross-over, as there's no historical rivalries with any of the others. This would put our biggest ACC rivals back into the permanent schedule.

I don't see it happening though, if they're thinking of moving one team, they might as well redo the whole split.

Times like this I wish Dooley and the Miss schools didn't block us from going back to the SEC, where (with the exception of Clempson), our 3 biggest historical rivals live (Georgia, Auburn, Alabama). Heck, the Tide still sing about us in every game. :D

I watched the interview online with the lawyer last night, I think once this is all done some media outlets are going to look silly. It's sounding like an intoxicated girl was sexually assaulted in Dec, they collected evidence but never actually questioned Winston (not sure if they questioned anyone else), then informed Winston's lawyer it was closed in Feb. FFw'd to the Friday after the Ducks lose, and media inquiries start rolling into the PD by coincidence  about this matter. I then think the PD, seeing national attention coming for something that was done and flew under the rader, opens it back up and then sends it to the States Attorney. Sounds like pure CYA to me. It's even been said by a reliable insider on a pay site (booster) that the story was recanted and thats why it was closed. So who knows...

Now, whether this is actually coincidence, or strategic, what they have done is shame the kid innocent or not. If you google him every article that pops up says sexual assault. If he is truly innocent, and I think he is, I hope he can keep his head clear moving forward. Like I said above, its mighty convenient all this kicked off the day after Oregon lost...

Once when I was a teen, we got pulled over by cops, guns drawn. Seems the local gas n go clerk had a scheme with her boyfriend to rob the joint. After we rolled in and bought some cokes and snacks to go riding, he came in and got the money, then she called the police and reported a robbery giving our car as the description. We lived, but it was not a fun 24 hours.

They just need to align them in a way where to football schools are a little spread out. Dont make one division power heavy and the other weak. Miami and Va Tech will be back one day, but some of these other schools like Wake are going to do so much in football. As evenly matched as possible divisions are a good thing.
