That guy who jumped on the ball should have been penalized for delay of game.

It is a rule. If a defensive player touches a ball as the ref trying to set the ball, the refs job is to stop the clock. Therefore the refs blew the call.

South Florida & Cincinnati both enjoyed rankings during that time (5 years). Plus Louisville didn't expect Syracuse to leave the schedule. In their defense they are rectifying that by moving to the ACC next year.

I didn't say the schedule wasn't bad, I just said that any good teams they had cycled to bad now, and/or left the conference. Happens to everyone, Georgia had a particularly weak schedule a few years back, they cycled both Ole' Miss & Miss St in from the West, coinciding with the collapse of Tennessee. I made no excuses for that.
Oregon & Stanford, with the exception of playing each other had really bad schedules. Ohio St.'s has been mentioned here quite a bit. Not to mention Alabama (except for A&M and LSU, there's is particularly weak). Did Alabama expect Penn St. & VPI to be bad teams when they scheduled them? Nope, just happened to be really down years for them.

Even after all that, games still have to be played. Louisville showed how good they were last year in the Sugar Bowl (as did Utah a few years back ;) ). That's why we play the games, and need a playoff to show who's really best.

When Ohio State scheduled Cal, they were a good team, they could have scheduled Stanford at the time, but Cal was better than them at that time.

Just the way the schedules shake out.

Just read that Texas a&m raised over $740 million in their first year in the sec. Think they regret the move? Lol.

It's been a perfect storm for them.

Is it just me or has this been a very dead thread in comparison to previous seasons?

Well when the big teams play teams like Colorado State you aren't going to get much conversation about it.

Boise State reminds me of the University of Colorado Buffalos during the early 90's. Colorado had that magical 1989 season when they were undefeated but beaten by Notre Dame,I think,in the Orange Bowl. The next year they won the national title(or at least half of it),then they would always lose 1 or 2 games each season afterwards. I think that Boise State peaked years ago & their best is behind them. I'm watching Fresno State beating them right now on ESPN.

I think it's pretty obvious what two teams will be in the BCS championship. The schedules seem to be pretty weak for teams sitting atop the polls.

I dont disagree much about the top teams and schedules, but I would like to point out that next week will be Bamas fourth game. Two of those four will have been against top 20 ranked teams (one in the top 10). Thats not as bad as it appeared at the beginning of the season.

Haha true. North texas came to play and looks like Georgia has overlooked them.

I dont see it staying close late.

I saw North Texas play Ball State last week and they look like a decent team, but no doubt they brought their A-game and Bulldogs came into the game thinking about...well, anything other than playing North Texas. They have that same disinterested look in their eyes like Michigan did hosting Akron last weekend; forgot they actually had to play football.

They got it done late but man Georgia didnt look like they even knew there was a game today.

How to stop FLA's offense

On 1st and 2nd down load the box and stop the obvious run. On 3rd down back up and stop the pass. then wait for the punt. repeat each possession.

Can we fire this Big 12 pretender already?

I hate seeing a guy get injured but I think having Driskel sit on the bench might actually help the Gators.. Although it will hurt us in the long run as it gives Muschamp an excuse not to get fired....
