It will be a high of 15 next week for a few days, so it's getting there, the lows will be 8 and 9.

Thats my point, it's ok to play in the 90-110 heat for you guys, and expect northern teams to come down and have no issues, but you don't want to come up north and play in the cold ...

Like all you southern guys say, "It doesn't get cold during football season up there" ...

So whats keeping ya from coming up ?

WE did come up to play Penn State a year or so ago, and had a home and home with Michigan State scheduled, but unfortunately has been cancelled. Of course it was not cold when we went, but we can hardly control the weather conditions on when we go.

As to whats keeping most teams from coming up, scheduling most likely. The same thing that is keeping yall from coming down.

I love these discussions. Northerners like to bitch and moan about how southern teams WONT play in the frigid conditions that they have to "endure" during the regular season, when in reality, 99 percent of northern teams dont ever play in conditions that they like to brag about.

I actually prefer the very few and far between days that we get like that down here. Working outside (and in), I can always put on a jacket. The heat and humidity is what I hate. Only so much I can take off and still be decent, and it will still be miserable hot.

What was the temp last weekend and this weekend ?
28 for the high tomorrow, thats alot warmer than next week.
However, the Big Ten Championship game is inside in Indy this year, bit that changes every few years so there will be a high possibility of playing in 20* or less for upcoming BT Championships.

It hurts being a Boise State fan today. But Coach Pete has given us 8 wonderful seasons and I hope he has a great time up in Washington...

His coaching style will be missed but I think the Boise State AD will find a great replacement........ (Hoping it won't be a guy like Lane Kiffin xD)

In '06, Dan Hawkins left for Colorado, everyone was devastated and thought we were done. Our OC though became our coach and looked what happened.

I have not made a single excuse all year about my teams performance (except how bad Muschamp has been with our offense, he says hes willing to change and let the next OC run a new style more FLA like offense so I will give him the benefit of the doubt for now...)

Conclusions

It would be hard for any offense to be effective without its top two QBs, starting tailback and three best offensive tackles. The running game that keyed an 11-win season in 2012 could not be relied upon in 2013. Similarly, the Gators' run defense fell apart by the end of the season. Florida's defense showed signs of being dominant with Easley, giving up just 55.3 yards a game on the ground, but then sprang leaks without their big man in the middle.

The upside? None of the injuries is believed to be career-threatening, and Florida developed some depth when it was forced to turn to younger players.

"There were a bunch of [important players] that didn't play for us," Muschamp said after the season's final game. "They were all on the sidelines in street clothes. We have good football players, and we have a good staff. We just got to get back healthy and continue to move forward. I'm not using excuses, it's real."

Starting D is actually pretty good, they just dont have the depth to maintain a whole game. Another issue UF is facing is somehow they landed several poor QB's. Not really excusable in the area they recruit. I have a feeling next year may improve, but I think maybe Muschamp and Foley get run out of there.
