NCAA 2009-2010 The Bowls

Not really hype on my part, I simply think he is one of the best, if not the best in the college game ever. I think his stats, and accomplishments speak volumes to back that up.

On top of that, its not just stats that make me think this. Its his drive to win, and how he pushes his team mates. He is a leader pure and simple, and all of that together is the basis for my opinion.

Of course not all will agree.

I hear Florida fans give Leak credit all the time, but they also include Tebow in the discussion for that championship, because he was part of the team, and a very important part at that. No need to bring anything else into it IMO., a

Tebow was 80% running back the year Leak was there.

While I agree with most of what your saying, till here:
all the while he had opposing defenses set up to stop mainly him.

Referring to LAST year here.
He had a WHOLE lot more than just HIM going for them last year .....
They had NFL players on the field all over last year ... some this year as well, but more last year.

My point is, he didn't do it by himself.

One thing I like about Tim, is he's very gracious, he gives redit to all of those that helped out and is NOT a ME Me guy.

I like that about him. :)

No he did not do it by himself, no doubt about that. He had good teams around him through his career. He did make the team better though, and not all of it was stats, although those were top knotch. He was probably the best offensive threat that they had, be it running, or passing it to one of the other great players they had. Which is why I say defenses set up to stop him mainly.

I agree with you about the rest. He is gracious, and very little bad can be said about his conduct on or off the field in his playing years. Unless one wants to bring up his crying after the SEC champ game, and if THAT is what one brings up....well...:)

Which is why I have said he is one of, if not the best PLAYERS in College FB history...

He would definitely belong in there with the following, and maybe the best of the QBs (highlighted), but above all of them as the greatest player in college football history...that would be a stretch. He's just the current hype, and will fall in line like the rest of these guys when the next hyped one comes along.

Agreed. He is one of the classiest, gracious players to come along in quite a while. A rarity today really.

Well, IF he were the best QB that would put him at 4th. Then if you wanted to make an argument for higher, he has more rushing TDs that Walker. Who is second, and Tebow playes QB, not RB.

Granted, most on the list have an argument for best player in college football history, but Tebow stands up against the best, no doubt about that. And not just statistically. I think it is the other stuff to be honest.

Greatest College Football Players of All Time

Agreed. He is one of the classiest, gracious players to come along in quite a while. A rarity today really.

Nice list, but like ALL list, there can be alot to debate about it.
I for one would NEVER put VY that high on the list.
He COULD be up there because he's still fresh in peoples mind.

Amazing how the SEC cheerleaders here are silent about this one. :D

We really beat them up - had a legit chance at shutting them out.

Im sorry, sometimes I forget there is anyone that cares about Uconn, so I didnt mention it:D

Seriously, good game. Yall had their number.:up

I am glad they lost. I hate the "Old Ball Coach".:D

That's because, except for Florida and Georgia's wins, there's nothing to talk about. Even Auburn needing Overtime over freaking Northwestern not to mention Arkansas also needing OT for lowly East Carolina were nothing to gush about.

Going 0-2 against the ACC doesn't help either.

Not a good bowl season for the SEC also rans, that's a fact. (That ACC line was uncalled for though.:D).

Probably because your conference champion had no business being on the same field as the SEC runner-up.

Seriously though you guys put a good whoopin on the HBC's team, who is probably one of the worst bowl coaches. Congrats:up

They announced during yesterdays Capitol One game that they were spending $1.6 million to install artificial surface before next year. That doesn't correct the problems of this year though. No stadium should ever have 2 bowl games withing 4 days on a field that is not artificial.

Speaking of fields, I heard during the Rose Bowl broadcast that they are planning on tearing up and replacing that field before the MNC! To that I must ask, why?! The field and conditions were perfect! What a waste of money.
