NCAA 2009-2010 The Bowls

Another reason why bowls suck. How far could a rejuvinated Florida team go were there a playoff, now that Urban is not going anywhere?

And how far could the Bucks go in a playoff with thier D holding a high powered Oregon Offense to 17 points and discovering the forward pass today ? :D

Urban Meyer being his classy self as usual and running up the score in an absolute blowout
if you're gonna score, at least put your second team in

He didn't run the score up.

What about Northwestern and Auburn? I think that game was just as good if not better than the Penn State vs LSU today.

Please replace Lions with Wildcats (my bad).. Thats what I meant... I mean afterall How many times did Auburn run on the field thinking they won? Just to be brought back to the sideline..

You would think the Champion of a Major BCS conference is big enough to handle a few points being scored against them...

Well the Tigers fit both games so you at least had that one right. ;):D

I think Cincy handled it with the class of a conference champ. :up They never stopped trying. Can't fault them for that. They were just outmatched last night...and that spark they had was gone after Kelly walked out (no matter what anyone says).

On another note, I'm happy for Tebow, but the hype and worship was getting way out of hand last night. What has he done that is so much more spectacular than other Heisman QB's in the past. I count one MNC and a few conference titles. Others have done the same thing.

Finally, if Orlando wants to host a New Years day bowl, those pricks need to step up to the plate and provide a venue worthy of such a thing. Either that or call it the Crapitol One Bowl and scale it down to something akin to the New Orleans Bowl. That was BS yesterday.

Can't you count to two? Was an important part of the MNC team in 2006. 1st player to win the Heisman as a true sophomore, only player to be a finalist for that award 3 times. All time leader in rushing TD's, Total yards and pass efficiency in the history of the SEC. But, yeah besides that he is no JaMarcus Russel:rolleyes:

Hmm, IMHO, Tebow is one of the best, if not flat out the best, college football player that has played the game. I say that as a fan of a Rival SEC team.

He was an important part of the first national championship, led the team to the second, had a couple of conference titles, won the heisman as a true sophmore, set numerous records in the conference and bowl games, all the while he had opposing defenses set up to stop mainly him.

Whether he makes it at the next level, not many have competed in the college game at the level he did. JMHO.

I agree about the cap one bowl though. That field was horrible.

Cotton Bowl is on now. I am going for Ole Miss, but I have said it before, and I will say it again, Snead just may be the most overhyped QB in SEC history.

They announced during yesterdays Capitol One game that they were spending $1.6 million to install artificial surface before next year. That doesn't correct the problems of this year though. No stadium should ever have 2 bowl games withing 4 days on a field that is not artificial.
